Tuscan Springs Hotel & Spa

Just got back from the Tuscan on a weekend anniversary trip and loved this place. This is a beautiful place, yes it’s old but is upgraded and maintained well. The pool and spas are great and relaxing and since this is a smaller hotel it’s not crowded what so ever. Free daybeds and plenty of lounges and tables, they are everywhere. Breakfast was good we like the Avacado and bagels and hard boiled eggs. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Rooms are nice. Loved the nice robes. Staff was kind and attentive we plan on going back next anniversary.

We treat ourselves to an overnight or two at Tuscan Springs every few years. It's pricey for us, but worth it. In a city full of hot mineral spas it's the right level of high-end yet not pretentious - with some little things needing attention here and there, for sure... but just like in Italy, there is zero rush on fixing it because the main soul of the place is firmly intact. Here's the thing, the entire city of Desert Hot Springs itself has seen better days and seems in a rut of blight. Usually we travel to fully experience a region, but with Tuscan Springs we simply arrive there and stay the entire time. Soooooooo relaxing. Once you check in, you're set. No kids, no overarching rules, no staff eyeing you warily - you can take a dip at 2:00 AM under the stars or sleep on a day bed all day long and smell the aromas, nobody cares. While other high-end spas in town are very mid-century modern with music piped in all the time, Tuscan Springs is peace and quiet, gorgeous mountain views and multiple private courtyards, and then cozy beds and mini kitchenettes in room. One giant warm mineral swimming pool, one mineral small hot tub and one giant semi-indoor mineral hot tub - sublime. Not inexpensive, they also offer an affordable day pass to the pools from 11 to 5 or 6 each day. If your goal is simply full-on peace and quiet and relaxation with no one bothering you with pesky schedules and rules, this is the place.

We used the pools while waiting to check into our rental. We also had a massages and spa services. Very low key, quiet and quite charming. I definitely will go back. Arthur, the manager was a pleasure to work with.

This place hit all the right notes and I can't say enough good things about it! It is well cared for in terms of maintenance and no detail is missed. It's clear the owners love this place and have put years of care and creativity into it. It's basically an Italian Villa complete with three mineral pools: cool(ish), warm, and hot. The pool area has plenty of room and a variety of soft surfaces to relax on in sun or shade. The breakfast room is pure charm and you have two large gardens to choose from as you eat. The bed was super soft and the room spacious. Whether or not you like kids, you'll appreciate the quiet of a kid free resort. The pool area is open 24 hours if you like an evening dip (we did). Grocery stores are nearby to keep you fed as you use your room's kitchenette. I was traveling for work so chose the location so my girlfriend would have a great place to lounge during the day. I checked the couple box though because it felt like a vacation the moment I got back. Though we didn't use the spa services, we could see into those spaces and they looked really wonderful. Smelled good, too!

Our 3 day stay was very relaxing. The room was large and had a small kitchenette. Healthy breakfasts are served. The 3 mineral spas are different temps, and 2 have jets, while 1 is swimmable. The couple's massage was wonderful and healing.
