L'Angelica Holiday Home

L'Angelica is located app 700 meters uphill from the city centre. This means a very quiet location. Apartment is spacious and we had a small balcony which we used a lot. There is parking on the premises (book in advance). Service is very good. Staff contact you before arrival and check in and out is easy. Only downside is that they requiere you pay the full amount (in our case 578 Euro for 5 nights) well in advance. Beware that the streets of Desenzano are very steep and location is not suited for people with mobility problems.

The space was good as we were a group of two adults and two late teens. Everything was clean and tidy upon arrival and the check in/departure was seamless. Valentina was in the office over the road and really helpful when needed. The Air con was really good and welcomed when it was hitting 35+. The beds were really comfy too. The location was a little walk from the town/waterfront but we were happy with that and directly underneath the apartments was a greengrocer and just a little further a great shop, Forneria Panedolci. Apart from one short outage the WiFi was excellent. Plenty of room for eating and kicking back too and we felt safe and secure throughout. The main gripe of anything was the massive lack of plug sockets in the kitchen. There was a kettle, coffee machine and microwave and none of them could teach the solitary plug which was at floor level and around the corner. Genesis it could do with more sockets throughout. The bathroom was large but had quite a small, basic shower cubicle so lots of potential to improve that. There was a small balcony but it looked over the car park and the seats weren't comfy so basically was our driving area. Some of the decor/fixtures needed a little attention but nothing that spoilt the holiday at all.
