Hampton Inn & Suites Hershey

Great spot and right by Hershey Park. Great breakfast set up in the morning, kids loved it! Only about 5 minute drive to the park and downtown shops.

We’ve stayed here about 5 times over the last couple of years for visits to Hershey Park. This will be our last time. Place is getting run down. They need to rip out the filthy carpets in the rooms and replace the grungy chair and sofa in the rooms. Bathroom had mold. Definitely wore my shoes in the room. The kitchenette had dirty plates and bowls. Breakfast was lacking. Had to wait for them to replenish food. The Hershey Pantry right next door is worth paying for over the Hampton Inn free breakfast. Did need extra towels and sheets for the pull out and the 2 young men at the front desk couldn’t have been any more friendly and accommodating. They get 5 stars for service but the hotel itself gets 1 (for location). We’re Hilton members but we won’t stay here again. The Spark a couple miles away was much cleaner.

Getting ready for bed and see a bug on the pillow . They switch our rooms. Now in the new room I goes to take a shower and it's a dirty washcloth hanging from the curtain rods. The front desk lady have the nerve to tell me to place it outside the door lol what a joke.

Check in was smooth and easy. The lobby appeared bright and cheerful. Parking was fine. Our room was located on the first floor and immediately upon entering, smelled musty and was dark. I turned on every lamp and it was still very dimly lit. I always check the beds so I used my phone with flashlight to check them, which were fair/OK. The pullout couch/mattress was filthy. Do not even dare sit on it. There were groups of teenagers right outside my ground floor window facing the courtyard. The bathtub had mold or mildew along the grout. The carpet seemed dirty. I requested a new room. The second room was much better. Did not have the musty smell or people outside my window. The towels were old and dingy, but at this point, we were just happy to not be in that first room. The air conditioning was very good. The hotel was rowdy at night so we slept with our sound machine way up. The cleaning people were very loud in the morning knocking on doors at 8am. Breakfast was very crowded so we opted to eat at the Hershey pantry. I would not recommend this hotel. I can’t believe this is a Hilton brand. The front desk lady was very polite and helpful. I believe her name was either Ileana or irena.

It was a great time for all and the hotel stay was very accommodating. Brandon saw to it all our needs were met and needs to be rewarded if this how he treats everyone which it seems from my observation. Thanks again Brandon...
