Liked privacy, quiet, clean, list of places to eat, Nigel was very helpful with our difficult overseas payment. Being from rural area it was difficult understanding security but destails were very good, just our lack of ability. I did get locked in bathroom at 3 a.m. as when I tried to get out as the lock fell out of the door handle. After trying to phone my husband as I used the phone as a torch, I ended up knocking on the adjoining wall. He finally woke up and came and opened door - it waas funny as it reminded me of when my mother in law had similar issue when she stayed at our house in the USA - payback for laughing at her! FYI vent inbathroom does not seem to work and could not open window so steam collected. Lovely place and not as noisy as a hotel.

Great Place.... The pictures don't do the place justice, the location is great and its minutes walk into Borrowash for shops and pubs etc and only a few minutes drive into Derby. The place is quiet and very clean and well maintained, secure and welcoming. Theres only three rooms so its not overly busy and the parking is very secure with a phone controlled gate on entry and exit to the property. The rooms are spacious, well equipped with a fridge, kettle, TV and a bathroom (I think one room has a separate bathroom but its next door to the room and you don't have to walk past Pride Park to get there). Theres also a larger sitting room downstairs for you to use in front of a large cosy fire and large table so if you want to take a laptop and work you can. Finally the owner is very friendly and welcoming and can't do enough for you. I would highly recommend this place and will be back when next in the area.
