Four Winds Motel

I booked my trip 5-6 months prior to going to Depoe Bay with 4 Winds Motel. I clarified my trip. I received confirmation 3 days before driving down that the reservation was still booked. I called the day before just to triple check. There was no answer all day. I left a message who I was, and I was clarifying the reservation. I left my number if they needed to contact me. No response, so I figured everything was good. I take the 10- hour drive with my sister. Still no call back that there were any problems. I get there and the manager tried to play it off that there was no reservation and it was a ******* scam. When we started getting upset, he then played it off as a joke but still maintained there was no reservation. Then he pulls two tickets with my name on it with the 2 rooms I booked off of the counter with the other reservations expected that day. He went on an on we weren't in his system. There were rooms available, but the system just wouldn't allow us to take them even as a walk-in. I explained that I called yesterday. He said, "it was so busy yesterday I didn't even answer the phones". He admitted to looking into the computer and finding our ******* reservations, but apparently nothing was done about them. He kept calling who I assume is his supervisor or owner of the motel and it kept going straight to voice mail. We got the feeling that it was intentional, instead of calling us they just waited for us to get there to blow us off in the middle of the summer, 10 hours away from home with nowhere else to go. So, I finally I told him just to forget it we would find accommodation elsewhere. He said to call ******* and he'd wave any fees (***?!). Why would WE be charged fees, this was there f--- up. ******* was amazing and worked with us to cancel the reservation without any charges. We were able to find an amazing hotel in the next town over willing to help us out. This experience really set the tone and ruined half of the trip. I will never return to Depo Bay, and I would NEVER recommend this motel to anyone.

Never again There was no counter space in living area or bathroom The room was a bed 1 night stand a small table with the microwave and fridge wires hanging openly for the tv everything plugged to a power *****

Better view then I was expecting. Pillows were very flat. There was hairs on the towels in the bathroom. Was only there for a night. But it worked to sleep in.

I liked the property

The room was across from a dumpster with an abundance of broken shattered glass. I could not stay due to the atrocious smell of stagnant BO and stale cigarettes, it was moderately clean however I could not stay no matter the cost though it was on the cheaper end. There was no option or conversation as to why I could not get a partial or complete refund. We did not stay the night, it was not in a condition to stay for any length of time, even for more than 10-minutes.
