All good. Sent me a couple of automatic messages before and after the stay with clear instructions. The location was pretty convenient.

Fantastic Stay at Hostel Fish – Highly Recommended! I had an amazing experience at Hostel Fish! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was welcoming, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is social yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot for solo travelers or groups looking to meet new people. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like privacy curtains, lockers, and charging ports by each bed. The common areas, including the bar, were lively and a great place to unwind after exploring Denver. Plus, the location is unbeatable—right in the heart of downtown, within walking distance to great restaurants, bars, and attractions. Another highlight was the staff-led activities and recommendations—they genuinely want you to have a great time in the city. If you're looking for a hostel with a fun, social, and comfortable stay, Hostel Fish is the place to be! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) – Would absolutely stay again!

It's a historic building, but very clean. It's a 15-minute walk from Union Station and just a stone's throw from Coors Field. It has a fully equipped kitchen, bar, and lounge!

The room and bathroom are generally clean. The bed is very soft. The only drawback is that there is always no one at the front desk. The bar downstairs is very noisy. The parking fee at the door is very expensive. Overall, it is very good. Highly recommended.

I stayed at Hostel Fish in 2016 and had a great experience so I was excited to return this week for a girls trip. Unfortunately a lot has changed and this experience wasn’t as enjoyable. The first major change is that the on site bar is now open to the public. This means that the entrance is wide open until 2 am and anyone can walk in. We arrived at midnight due to flight delays and immediately encountered an unhoused man wandering the halls. A staff member noticed and did respond quickly to escort him out, however, we felt uneasy about our safety during our stay. The second major change is the cleanliness and over all housekeeping. Upon arrival we realized that two of the three beds in our room didn’t have pillows. We went to the front desk to ask about them and it took the staff 10 minutes to search the property for pillows to give us. I was too afraid to ask where they came from. Also, despite being closed for at least an hour of cleaning every morning, the bathrooms were usually in disarray and 1/3 of the shower stalls were broken. Additionally, the hostel was very loud. The bar blasted music until at least 2 am every night and then it would start up again around 7:30 am. The night time music made sense as there were people enjoying the bar but it was empty in the morning. There was absolutely no reason to have EDM blaring two feet from the rooms that early in the morning.

The Bad: I wouldn't recommend staying here if you have a rental vehicle; they do not provide parking. The parking nearby was $40 a night, which adds up fast. Also, it's pretty loud at night, and people are walking in and out constantly, making it very difficult to sleep, especially if you are a light sleeper. Also, if you have a lot of luggage, it could be very difficult to get inside as you have to climb a flight of stairs. Note: Only bring light luggage. The Good: I loved the lounge, and the bar is cheaper than some of the other nearby places. The place was pretty clean.
