This is hard to rate. First of all, we stayed for two days and never saw anyone in charge. We were not at the motel much however. Check in is weird, had to call the number on the door, keys were in room. I had a very hard time understanding the management on the line. Location is everything. They are right on the ocean just steps away with seating areas in the beach and just above. Nice wash area, so we could rinse off feet. The room was clean. We were upstairs in the house, This requires a large step to enter and very steep stairs. The room was fine for our purpose but it is basically an attic. Shower is tiny and has a slanted ceiling so not much space. It also has a bump in the floor and felt like we were on a constant tilt. Husband was not happy. I thought for the price and location it was decent. Just need to take into consideration when booking. If I was with my mom she could have never made it to the room.

Great place right on the beach, and they allow dogs. Tom and Debra could not have been any nicer. They are friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make sure I had everything that I needed to make my stay wonderful. It was wonderful. Beautiful location on Nantucket sound with a beachfront/ocean front location and the water is warm for swimming.

The most unique thing is pet friendly and on the ocean. We had fog for a day and a half but the ocean breeze and views are really relaxing. We had use of HP parking and managed the two sets of three stairs and ramps to get to second floor with no problem. Thank you for a wonderful property

Hotel is not a usual hotel that you think of. it is a very old and small hotel. front desk is often not available even during the office hours. I booked the room with a full kitchen, but it was just a kitchenette. no swimming pool. shower water pressure extremely low, very uncomfortable. bathroom heater was not working. no hairdryer, you need to ask the front when they are in the office. the size of a one bedroom was good. however, overall very old and uncomfortable hotel.

This is a classic Olde Cape Cod beachside motel. Clean, comfortable, nostalgic, with an incredible location. Would stay here again.

Very pleasant stay at the seashell motel. It was the first weekend it was open for 2025 had a slight issue with the showerhead and they upgraded our room and helped us move overall a very pleasant experience.
