We are repeat customers - this time we stayed for a week. I love the modern furniture, stylish retro motel vibe and the ultra comfy bed - the air conditioning was also nice for the hot spell we were experiencing. It's nice to have such modern accommodations in Dennis Port - a town which preserves the best of an old Cape Cod beach town. We enjoyed sitting in the evenings and with our morning coffee at the little table and chairs stationed outside each room. The staff, and especially the cleaning staff, were really nice, and the rooms are very clean. Didn't use the pool, but our niece did - a great family amenity. Now here's a couple points for improvement: 1) the shower tub is slippery! I noted this in a review after we stayed here not long after it opened. Several years later, this is still being remarked on in reviews. This is actually a safety hazard. Either no one in management reads the reviews (is this possible?) or they just don't do anything. But if someone fell and were to sue, the repeated reviews mentioning this hazard would not look good. Knowing it was still an issue, we actually bought some anti-slip matting at the local Job Lot. This really shouldn't be necessary. 2) As numbers of reviews also note - some hooks would be really helpful in the bathroom. Not a complicated fix! 3) It's nice that you offer free coffee in the morning, but would it be all that hard to offer little packets of half and half instead of or in addition to CoffeeMate? It would make such a difference. The little office is full of pricy merchandise and it's not just a cheap motel. All the same, please note I did give this review five stars. We enjoyed our stay, and would happily stay again.

First of all, our check-in was a nightmare. The person never looked up or even acknowledged us until I actually asked for help. I had called BlueBird back in early May and was very specific on the room and location that we wanted ( overlooking the pool area). They actually said ‘no problem’. Instead we were given the worst room on the property. Room 49 with a spectacular view of the parking lot….yes, the parking lot. The coupon that we got from our last visit for $30 really threw her for a loop. When we checked out, we found out that instead of subtracting the amount, she ADDED it to the bill. Unbelievable. How was this person even allowed to welcome guests. The rooms are nice but the shower situation remains an accident waiting to happen. No hand bars or shower mats. So dangerous. Also, no hooks to hang towels anywhere. We went to Ocean Lot and bought some hooks. The grounds are nice ( especially the pool area) until the sun goes down. The place is pitch dark. Trying to walk around is taking your life in your hands. There is no spotlight on the BlueBird sign near the road, so we passed it three times. Hello… the solar lights don’t work). To drive your car to the back parking lot ( the globe side lights are all out) is treacherous. God help anyone walking around. I hope management listens because it’s a great location with much potential.

The Bluebird in Dennisport was wonderful. Yes, you could hear noise from neighboring rooms but all was quiet at night. The rooms are very clean, bed comfortable, and free of clutter. Did like the deluxe room which includes a table and bench seating. The glassed in pool was great as the weather was a bit cool. The staff and housekeeping were very friendly.

Brandon (The General Manager) and his staff were kind and helpful. It's a clean and stylish, budget-friendly place to stay! All of the little details: the vintage vibe, the sparkling clean bathroom, the quiet location, the proximity to the beaches. Book your stay here at this Mid-Cape budget-friendly gem!

First of all, the staff , especially the front desk are friendly and very accommodating. Nice touch that they provide coffee in the lobby in the morning. We got a deluxe king room which was roomy and relaxing. The room has almost a Japanese Zen vibe. You almost feel like you could be in a spa. Our bed was incredibly comfortable with high end sheets and blankets. Pillows had ‘body’, not to soft. Nice table with two chairs are outside your door. Since it was raining, we brought ours indoors for some wine and cheese relaxation. There were a few issues. The bathroom shower is an accident waiting to happen. Incredibly slippery with no bar handles and no hooks for towels. In fact, there are no hooks in the entire room. We went to the dollar store and bought some. They provide cubbies for your clothes. It felt like we were in a daycare center. Really, who designed this? We stayed here because they have an indoor pool and hot tub, perfect for a September trip. Guess what… the hot tub is not heated and was freezing. The enclosed structure was leaking like crazy and we quickly went back to our rooms very disappointed. Another small issue was the fact that there are no spotlights on their motel sign at night. It was pitch dark at night and we passed the entrance twice because you could not see where you were going. Such an easy fix! Would we come back next year. Yes because these are improvements that can easily be made by next year. We actually look forward to it.

We’ve stayed at a few Lark properties around NE in the past. This was our first time trying a Bluebird which is definitely a different vibe. More rustic but still has that signature Lark feel. There are many positive aspects of this motel, such as the location, the indoor and outdoor pool and patio area, and the separate cottages with fire pits that allow for more space for larger groups. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage with 4 adults and 1 child. Although we had a nice time, there are some seemingly easy and inexpensive upgrades that can be made to elevate the guests’ experience. Most notably, it is obvious that aesthetic was valued over function with the design and furnishings, as detailed below, and many things appeared to be either rushed to be finished or not completed (ex: holes in bathroom wall where towel bar previously hung). Furniture: All was either extremely low to the ground, uncomfortable, or both. With someone handicap in our group, this was an issue. Rug in LR was a trip hazard and cannot be vacuumed of all sand. It should be removed or a different material should be considered. Kitchen: it was nicely stocked but there was no hardware on the drawers which made it very difficult to open them. Bathroom: glass shower door opens directly into the sink. This is dangerous and should be remediated ASAP. Also, there’s 1 towel hook in the entire cottage which makes no sense, and dead space in the bathroom that can easily accommodate additional storage and hooks. Overall we would like to return, but would love to see some improvements before we do

We used the Bluebird for our hotel wedding block and couldn't be happier with our choice! The booking process was incredibly smooth, and the entire Bluebird team was responsive, friendly, and helpful throughout. Our guests absolutely LOVED their stays, and had nothing but great things to say about the clean rooms, incredible pools, and fantastic location. The furnishings and design are updated and modern, a much needed breath of fresh air on the Cape. If you're looking for a great wedding block at an incredibly fair price, I can't recommend the Bluebird enough.

Had to stay one night and it only provided the bare minimum. It seems like it used to be a motel. Positives were that young families were enjoying the pool. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. There is a large step up into the room. The iron and ironing board were missing. Other than the two beds and a shelf on the wall between them, there was no furniture. Not a chair or a table or anything. The walls and ceiling are paper thin. You can hear everything. The curtain in the bathroom did not provide privacy, so we pushed a towel around it. You have to climb all the way in the tub to start the shower because of a glass partition. Wish we had known all of this before we booked. Would have gladly spent more to have the privacy and the necessities.

My husband and I came here because we had a gift card for Lark Hotels. We chose Bluebird because the rate allowed us to used the gift card for 3 nights instead of the one night for the Lark hotels, which are much pricier. We enjoyed the pool and the AC was great in our room however, we were overall not satisfied. We expected a better experience for the nightly price. The motel was run down, the carpet in the hall was filthy and old. There were smokers outside on the landing and on the grounds and this is advertised as a non smoking hotel. Upon entry, the room looked nice but when I opened the luggage rack, it fell apart. When I told the staff that our luggage rack was broken, it was never replaced. There were old holes on the bathroom tile where a towel rack or something used to be but they never covered the holes. There was no hook on the bathroom door to hang a towel; we had to drape our wet things outside over the railings. I just expected a bit more from the Lark Hotels. The main area could have used more shelving on the minimalistic walls, for convenience. There was limited space to place things like my jewelry container or my husband's Dopp kit. An extra table or a shelf or two would have made a difference. I think Lark made an effort to improve an old motel but it fell short. The photos on your website are not consistant with what we experienced. I would not recommend or stay here again. I'm sorry.
