We stayed here for 4 nights. The cottage was easy to find, being only a couple of minutes off the main highway heading into Denmark. The owner, Jason, came to check on us after we arrived (key in the door of the cottage) to let us know about the local sights and make sure we were settled in. He was very helpful and informative. The cottage was very spacious and the kitchen well equipped. We enjoyed using the gas cook top for cooking but would have liked the option of an electric kettle rather than having to use a stove top kettle. There was plenty of room for us, the lounge chairs were very comfortable, as was the bed. The bathroom is combined with a laundry space - you have your own washing machine but no dryer. There is a clothes line on the side of the cottage as well as a clothes airer. The shower recess has a shower curtain. The water was hot with good pressure. The heating is either via a wall heater in the lounge room, or a slow combustion wood burning fireplace. We were provided with an initial amount of firewood, with any additional wood costing $30. We found the fireplace warmed the cottage nicely but that the wall heater didn't warm up the place as much. There were brochures provided as well as a CD player. There is no wi-fi and only free-to-air TV. A number of games, books, DVDs and CDs are available below the TV. The location is perfect with access to wineries, beaches, the main township, and other tourist spots. The cottage is surrounded by bush which was great for bird-watching and for seeing the local kangaroos. Very peaceful and quiet. The cottage is quite private but there was no cover on the window on the front door, which you pass going to and fro from the bathroom. Also, at night you need to lock the door with the key, which could present a safety issue. Perhaps a bolt could be added to lock the door instead. Minor things but something we noticed. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend this accommodation.
