We had a great 2-week stay at Colonels Retreat 2 - as a party of 9 from New Zealand. The 6 younger members of our party stayed on the upper floor and had their own lounge just off their rooms - they were happy with what felt like apartment living. The food was really good - generous breakfasts from 7-10am, and dinner if you pre-ordered on the same day - was really tasty and very well priced. The manager and staff are all lovely and the entire place felt safe and peaceful. There is a nearby general store - just a 10 minute walk, and local transport - ubers and auto rickshaws - are all available. Remember if you arrive back after 10pm, some of the Defence Colony gates are closed - but there are ways in through other gates for your driver to try. The rooms are clean and spacious and have what you need, the air con was much appreciated and worked consistently well during the intense heatwave in June. I would recommend this place if you want a nice low key, tranquil stay in Delhi.

THIS WAS BEST ACCOMMODATION WE HAD IN INDIA IN 23 nights. Great location, clean, safe, kind smart thoughtful hosts, coffee shop around the corner. COLONELS2 has everything! Highly recommend it. You will love everything about this. And if you have questions, KUST ASK VICTOR! He knows everything we tourists need and is 100% focused on make this perfect …. And for me and my adult daughter THIS WAS PERFECT!!

The property is beautiful and the staff are genuinely kind. We were allowed an early check-in, for which I am truly grateful. However, there is room for improvement in housekeeping, as our room was a bit dusty. The property also experiences significant network congestion, although they do offer good Wi-Fi connectivity. The contact number listed on MMT redirects to their finance office, making it slightly inconvenient to reach the caretaker as communication has to pass through multiple people.
Breakfast timings could also be made a little more flexible — I missed it after a temple visit and returned by 11 AM. However, they were kind enough to arrange bread toast and an omelette for me, which I really appreciated. That said, I was looking forward to the full breakfast experience based on previous reviews.
Overall, the location is very good, and the warmth of the staff leaves a positive impression.

The food charges are very high and only suitable for foreigners. They said we have to fill our water bottle by ourselves, don't give 24 hours housekeeping and even not provide guaranteed early check in or late check out. But yes this homestay is neat and clean. Thanks

Worth for money we spent. Friendly people in the reception as well as in their rooftop. Good breakfast. Overall if I am in Delhi again, then I would prefer to stay in this Retreat.
