⭐ Minus 10 Star | The Worst Hospitality Experience Ever – Highly Disappointed I had the most horrendous experience with Haut Monde Resort & Spa, Dehradun and I feel compelled to share this so others can avoid the same mistake. ⚠️ Beware of Misleading Promotions I booked 5 rooms for 2 nights (13–15 June 2025) with all meals included, after being shown fancy and misleading promotional images by Mr. Navjyot Singh from their Gurgaon office. Based on his polished sales pitch, I paid 25% advance on 7th May 2025. Later, on 29th May, I received a suspicious call offering a “room upgrade” to Vahati category, citing another guest's cancellation. Ironically, the upgrade was to smaller rooms, but I was convinced to go ahead since they were supposedly located conveniently near the restaurant, pool, and river stream. 🚧 Arrival Day Disaster On 13th June, after travelling from 4:00 AM from New Delhi with 10 adults and 9 children, we encountered a landslide before the resort. No proactive communication or help from the resort staff. Only after calling them ourselves, a 4x4 was sent without any assistance for our luggage. Guests were left to carry their own belongings, and only children and ladies were assisted across the landslide area. 🛎️ Zero Coordination, Clueless Staff Upon arrival, the reception staff had no idea about our booking. After being redirected multiple times (even to find a staff member named Mr. Ashish), we were eventually given only 3 rooms, all in unclean, pathetic condition: 3 out of 5 rooms were dirty, with no AC, no LED TV, and poor linen 1 room had no ventilation and foul odour Basic amenities were missing 1 room wasn't allotted at all, despite hours of waiting Repeated requests to the resort staff, including Mr. Ashish, were completely ignored. 🍽️ Meal Confusion & Mismanagement Even though our package included all 3 meals, we were told that lunch was not included, and forced to order à la carte. Only after escalating to Mr. Navjyot (again), were we grudgingly allowed to order from the same buffet menu served earlier to others. 😡 No Accountability, No Support After 3 hours of being tossed around, standing with our luggage, and receiving zero hospitality or empathy, I decided to check out without even completing the check-in formalities. Not a single person apologized or attempted to resolve our concerns. Shockingly, the resort did not take ID proofs or verify guests, which is a serious safety and legal lapse. 💸 Advance Payment – No Refund, No Response Till today, there's no clarity on my advance payment. I’ve received no refund, no formal response, and no accountability from the resort’s management. 🔴 Final Verdict: DO NOT BOOK. This property is a scam dressed in luxury marketing. Extremely poor service, false promises, untrained staff, lack of basic hospitality, and no value for money. I had to move to another hotel in Dehradun the same evening — a complete disaster of a trip. Stay away from Haut Monde Resort & Spa, Dehradun

I booked this resort after seeing their attractive photos online and being assured by their sales team of a luxurious experience. But sadly, it was far from what was promised. The property was in poor condition — rooms were not clean, hygiene was lacking, and even basic facilities like the TV didn’t work because it wasn’t recharged. The cars used to take guests to the restaurant were old and shabby, and didn’t feel safe or comfortable. What was more disappointing is that many other guests were also complaining about similar issues. Everyone felt misled and let down by how different the reality was from what was advertised. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the upkeep and services. Would not recommend this resort until major improvements are made.

Our stay at this property was a major disappointment. The rooms were unkempt, with dust, stains, and an overall feeling of neglect. The entire place looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned or maintained in a while. The vehicle used to transport guests — an old, dilapidated jeep — felt unsafe and uncomfortable. The grounds themselves were equally neglected. There was no sign of landscaping or care — just overgrown weeds and crumbling pathways. The overall atmosphere was far from relaxing or inviting. The only saving factor being the recreation room, the sitting deck and the food.

Worst ever experience we had,right from the check-in process to food ,rooms ,stay everything,If you planning for a spa don’t even think as hotel didn’t have staff and it was closed, for food breakfast was incuded but there is no chef and you wouldn’t have anything to eat,no WiFi working at all. Complete fake when it comes to there advertisement.

I am compelled to formally express my disappointment at the poor service provided to me during my special stay at Haut Monde, Dehradun from 14th May to 15th May, 2025 Swimming pool- There was no water in the pool, though we specifically asked during booking whether the pool was operational or not. 2) Welcome Drink- No welcome drink was offered to guests though it was included in the package. Guests in fact asked for any welcome drink during check-in also, but it was denied. 3) TV Not Recharged- the TV in the guests' room was not recharged and despite several complaints, the issue was not resolved till 4pm. 4) Basic Meal Provided- Though the package consists of all meals, the guests were offered basic meal like Dal, Chawal, subji, ande ki bhurji etc & No one was there to attend to the clients to see if they needed anything else. 5) No proper lighting outside the rooms- There was no proper lighting in the lower part of the resort where I stayed and it was very dark. I was staying with two infants and the resort is not expected to keep its premises empty and dark. 6) Unresponsive staff- Not a single person from the resort was ready to pick up the phone, be it in housekeeping, restaurant or reception. I myself, tried all the phone numbers mentioned on your website (from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm) but got no response 7) No sign of dinner from 8 pm to 9 pm- No one in the resort knew what was in the dinner menu and neither did anyone know when it would be served. Everyone keeps blaming others. Then I dialed 100 and asked for help. After a while, I got a call from the local police chowki. I explained my entire situation to them and my terrible and pathetic condition. Then they told me not to panic. After that some hotel staff came and we finally got chapati and egg bhurji at 9:30 pm. 8) Seeing this condition I decided to check out in the morning without breakfast(which was included in the package) No sign of gypsy during this time- I was so disappointed that I checked out at 7 am without breakfast. Moreover, gypsy was not provided during check-out and we had to call taxi from outside to carry luggage. Very horrible and pathetic situation to face

Booked this resort for our client for 14th may (3 adults, 1 infant & 2 kids) & it turned out to be a horrible mistake. There was no water in the swimming pool, though we specifically asked during booking whether the pool was operational or not. Mr. Navjot lied at our face during booking about the pool. No welcome drink was offered, though it was included in the package. TV in room was not recharged and it took them 5 hrs. to resolve the issue. No proper lighting in the resort. It was so dark in the lower wing of the resort after 7 pm that you feel scared. No one in the reception, housekeeping, restaurant, sales picks up the phone. No one wanted to take any resoponsibility for anything. Such Unresponsive staff . Our guests' holiday was a mess! staff members dont know who their duty manager was or whom they were reporting to. Forget the lavish buffet (which was promised), our guests were offered Dal-chawal & subji during lunch and Ande ki Bhurji & chapatis during dinner and that too after pursuing them for 2 hrs. Totally Pathetic, totally worthless, totally terrible. The way they have ruined our guests' holiday is an art! No body else can do that!
