As a solo female traveler, I stayed here three nights before going to Rishikesh for a yoga course. While Dehradun isn’t much of a sightseeing destination, I felt safe staying at The Hosteller. The staff were super helpful and the hostel vibe was jovial, consisting of local travelers keen to chat and play guitar/sing on the rooftop in the evening.

I slept in 1 room with young lady working at reception. She was going to bed around 23h, talking on her phone?! After I asked her to be more silent cuz I was already sleeping, she continued listening to music and videos on her phone, disturbing my sleep. I'm disappointed and leaving angry. 2 nights I didn't get proper sleep. Other guests were also noisy and smoking near my windows. Location is also noisy - big street, many cars. Otherwise is clean, European Standart. Easy to order food, good wifi. However, this young lady from staff went on my nerves :/ very inconsiderate person and she is working in hospitality businesses... Terrace is nice, but most people just come to smoke and look at their phones...

I am expressing my experience at this property after my recent visit. The staff is very very helpful and always there to assist with your queries. The rooms are good 😊. The location is also good and peaceful during night time. I will highly recommend this property, it you're planning to visit Dehradun. The hostel usually have inhouse events like bonfire 🔥 etc. Overall my stay was memorable, will definitely recommend. Thanks for the hospitality 🥰🥰

One of the better option for the solo travelers or for the couples because of comfortable stay with proper hygiene and maintend well by the staff.bonfire on the terrace really gives us a good vibe, ☺️ you can order food and enjoy music on the terrace with bonfire
