We had a great stay at the Barriere Royal. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. As we are kosher they not only were able to heat up our food for us but picked it up for us since the establishment wouldn’t deliver. The spa was great, breakfast was delicious and expansive. It is right off the beach and walking distance to all the great shopping. The hotel does feel like it needs a refresh - much of the decor is old. Also I was disappointed to have been charged such a hefty fee to get a beach chair given that it is a beach hotel.

Nous sommes venus en famille. Tout était prêt pour le bébé de 11 mois. Les familles sont vraiment les bienvenues, bravo. Les deux chambres communicantes , vue sur mer avec terrasse étaient spacieuses, très jolies avec de très belles salles de bain. Rien à redire. Tout le personnel était parfaitement professionnel et très sympathique. Je ne puis citer tout le monde et j'en suis désolée mais tous mes compliments à Emmanuel le voiturier et à Rodolphe ; aux charmantes Laetitia et Ange du petit déjeuner ; au bar l'Etrier où nous avons dîné tous les soirs, la compétence et la gentillesse de Dylan et d'Antonin. Le service de la conciergerie et le bagagiste n'étaient pas en reste. La carte de l'Etrier était parfaitement adaptée à ce que nous voulions et les cocktails très bons. Nous reviendrons sans nul doute l'année prochaine.

I had an excellent stay at the Ryal Barriere. First, I did have a room with AC but it was unrenovated, to be fair. I do think the renovated rooms are prettier but perhaps AC is missing based on some other reviews - they do have both though so it's worth asking. I don't think I lacked anything functionally in an older room. It was very large with a beautiful sea view. The bed and bedding were divine, one of the most comfortable I've experienced. The bathroom amenities are luxurious. Caramels on your pillows as part of turndown service. The staff go out of their way to make sure you are having a good visit (and you don't feel constantly judged or watched). The hotel gives you complementary headphones so you can use at the gym (or elsewhere); I found the gym (as well as sauna and steam room) to be relatively uncrowded. Fabien and Jody and everyone else at the concierge desk are amazing. Mgmt gave amazing welcome gifts, my only request to mgmt there is please don't assume everyone wants wine (or can travel with it)...give people a choice.

I would give this place a 4.5 if possible. The service was absolutely fantastic. Check-in was smooth and easy and the valet was fabulous after a long driver. The location was great. The restaurant was fabulous for dinner and breakfast. Our only knock was the room was a little dated and small. I would definitely stay here again.
