3-Star Hotels in Deal

Just returned from Dunkerley’s Hotel after a 3 night stay with friends … Great location right on the seafront in Deal, Kent and well situated for access to the beach and for exploring the town centre. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and our room was a good size and recently renovated with a large bed. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast cooked by Cheryl and the other ladies looked after us with a constant supply of tea and coffee - likewise the bar and reception staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Dunkerley’s is a 3 star hotel and provides excellent value for money when compared to other similarly rated accommodations within the area.

Advantages: the room is clean, the bed and quilt are comfortable, the beach is out, it is convenient to eat nearby, there is a game hall nearby, three beds to meet family travel, breakfast variety is not much but the taste is OK. Disadvantages: Because of the wooden structure, the sound insulation is not good. No air conditioning, heating. The window of the family room faces the street and does not face the sea. The waiter at the service desk is often absent. Overall in line with expectations.

We had a wonderful long weekend in this seafront hotel and had a wonderful time. It's not a 5-star hotel but I've given it 5 stars because it was perfect for us. We were warmly welcomed and well looked-after. The room was nicely appointed with a little bathroom and a big telly! The bed was very comfortable and it was very clean. But best of all was the huge window looking out over the sea. We didn't realise that it doesn't do food until we got there but there are loads of really great cafés and restaurants within a very short walk.
