Dunkerleys Hotel

This is a really nice hotel and is in an excellent position . Beautiful hanging baskets outside. Good value hotel. Comfortable rooms . Very pleasant staff and the food is great too

From the beautiful window boxes and hanging baskets this hotel doesn't disappoint. Quirky decor, huge bell at reception - our stay was brilliant. Room 4 with its sea view was excellent, well proportioned, spotlessly clean and despite its location on the junction it was quiet. Towels are soft, nice toiletries and good tea/coffee etc provided. Ample storage space too. Bar is well stocked, reasonably priced and very friendly All the staff seem to be very young, but are always smiling, helpful and willing to talk. Slightest of criticisms - breakfast is a bit sparse. Fresh fruit is literally just a bowl of fruit, bananas only appeared on our first morning ( we were there 4 nights). Yoghurt has to be ordered separately and is only plain but not helpful as there's no fruit to go with it - sadly. Also my husband's request for "hard poached eggs" ie not runny failed dramatically on 2 mornings, so he gave up! But please don't let this put you off ,- it's a fantastic hotel. Very tired hotel. Our room was classes as a budget hotel but at £100 I was expecting better. Very dark and dingy and very basic bathroom. The room overlooks then kitchen and the smells and noise were unpleasant. To access the room you had to go through the dining room and the toilets and then up some back stairs. Breakfast was ok but the service was good. Shame the AC wasn’t on as was very hot and unpleasant. The hotel has a good location and is near all the local attractions.

Double room with fantastic views of sea and Deal pier from 2 windows Full English breakfast was excellent Great location for local pubs, restaurants and shops No air con so had windows open through the night and could hear some noise from the street

We stayed in the Crows Nest which was a lovely big room with a fantastic sea view. The staff made our stay brilliant. Such a lovely crowd. We hope to return at some point and would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Spacious room with a view opposite Deal Pier. Very clean with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Would have liked more choice at breakfast but overall very good.
