Hotel Concord Syracuse, Ascend Hotel Collection

Convenient location near highways and airport, quick access to amenities. Comfortable beds, nice rooms. Friendly front desk staff, quick check-in. Delicious, varied breakfast.

I stayed here for two nights in the beginning of June. The check-in/check-out process was easy and lightning-fast. The staff seemed friendly and polite. The elevator worked fine. The room was clean and in decent condition. My room had a desk and a desk chair, and also an armchair - great for sitting and reaading. There was a fridge and a microwave. I did not use the coffeemaker, but it was prvided. The shower worked well, and the provided toiletries were fine. There was plenty of space to hang clothing if wanted. The A/C and heat worked OK. The heater made weird noises. The mattress did not fit into the mattress frame, bit sat on top, so the bed was higher up than normal, but the mattress was confortably firm. Decent pillows. The bedding was old enough that the stretchy corners on the fitted sheet were stretched out and did not keep the sheet securely on the mattress. Two biggest "negatives": there were no blackout curtains on the window, and the walls were paper-thin. There was free breakfast. It was OK. Well, maybe not the "scrambled eggs", those were ...not good. This hotel is relatively close to the airplort, but a bit far to the train station.

Hotel Concord Ascend in Syracuse is a good choice From check in to check out the staff were always friendly and the manager (male) I met on the first night was so friendly and remembered me after a few days - asking how my son was doing. Breakfast was good the room was good the area surrounding the hotel from first glance may be a little worrisome, but after my stay I can say it’s very safe and secure. I’ll be coming back and would love to stay there again but have to stay at a cheaper location…unless they will price match? Then I would surely stay there again!
