Pretty easy to get to from the airport. Plenty of free parking and not busy at all...probably 8 cars in the lot when I got there. Building is well maintained, inside and out. Not much landscaping but very well maintained exterior. Interior lobby and atrium are beautifully decorated and clean. Staff at the front desk was very friendly and professional. Bartender was personable. No other interactions with staff. Room was spacious, nicely decorated and clean. No desk. No guide or program information on the TV so you have to surf. Bed was relatively comfortable and I slept well. Lacks a constant on option for the PTAC so I was surprised at the quality of sleep only because I usually don't sleep well without white noise and air moving. I was a little concerned at the freeway right outside the window but, as it is the New York Thruway, it was not heavily traveled so noise was not a problem. The presentation as having a restaurant is misleading. E'terie Restaurant & Bar is basically a lunch counter. No wait staff or table service. Plus it closed early on the 3rd and was closed the 4th. Interestingly, the 'daily' special was the same all three days I was there. Breakfast variety was great and fresh...though I had no desire to stand in line 20 minutes for an omelet so missed out on the 'made-to-order' part but there were plenty of other options. Surprisingly, no one collected dishes at all or wiped any of the tables, at least neither morning I was there. You take your dishes up like you're in a school cafeteria. No attendant the first morning. There was an attendant the second morning but all she did was check your card to make sure you were legal. Even at the more 'basic' properties of this brand and others who offer breakfast there is someone clearing dishes and wiping tables. Bar closed 3 hours early the first night. Went down after unpacking to find it closed up tight at 7. Not open at all the second night. Evening manager's reception was non-existent the second night. They gave you a couple beer and a bag of chips from the Corner Pantry. Might be due to occupancy but that should have been made clear up front and the rate should have reflected to reduction in service. To my surprise, there is no business center. I saw a printer but no computer so I asked at the desk and they said I could just email whatever I wanted printed to them. Odd that they would think the only reason for a business center is to print something and not to do business. I was double charged but, after a couple calls, that got resolved a week later. I was surprised that, even though the rate was identical to the HHonors prepaid rate, I got no credit for this stay because it was booked through Kayak.
