Just shy of AUD$1,000 (one thousand Australian dollars) for a room and a half with a shared bathroom for two nights of noisy sleep. Save yourself much grief and give this accommodation a MISS! Yes, the rooms were modern and comfortable, but breakfast of cereal and orange juice came in a small box. Worst of all, the cavalier and nonchalance of the staff upon check-in proved unhelpful and unwelcoming, particularly when asking for suggestions as to where to eat over the two days. I know you can find better places to stay in Daylesford in terms of value and greeting!

Stopped in for lunch after a nice walk around town. Had a selection of entrees - calamari, chicken wings ,nachos and green salad. Generous sizes. All very tasty. Good selection of beers and wines to wash it down. Would happily come back here again

We had dinner here two nights as well as drinks one afternoon. The staff were all very nice that we dealt with, some of them could learn to smile though! There is heaps of different areas to sit for a drink or eat both inside and ate. It is typical pub food, reasonable prices and quick service.

Surprising modern inside, we opted to eat outside as it was a beautiful evening but unfortunately did not know it is legal in Victoria to smoke outside around people eating in a commercial dining area, unlike NSW where we reside. The staff were friendly, there is wide variety on the menu and the meals came out quickly, piping hot. My friend had the seafood linguine and was happy with it; I had garlic prawns, which were fresh but the sauce was not very flavoursome and tasted mostly like fresh cream, suggesting it was undercooked. Very clean inside and outside.

Dinner with the Band after the Daylesford Highland Gathering, it is a good place to catch up after a day of adventures to relax and eat in a group. Service was quick and friendly. Food was tasty and well presented. Would stop here again for dinner.

Set within beautiful heritage building the rooms were modern and comfortable representing great value for money. Loved the additional touches of the complimentary breakfasts packs. We also all enjoyed our meal in the bistro downstairs. Staff were welcoming and friendly. We are all looking forward to coming back again soon!

The bartender(she) was absolutely rude and totally disrespectful Tuesday 15th August @15.45. She was not welcoming in any shape or form. Absolutely had no customer service training. Not the right person to do this type of work. Am extremely dissatisfied

Had a fabulous meal here tonight. Our party of three was extremely happy with the delicious food and the service. Can't fault it. The Linguine pasta was amazing, as was the Calamari and the Tandoori chicken. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. Highly recommend.

Came here after leaving the awful Daylesford hotel and what a wonderful difference. The staff were soooo much nicer, shout out to Mel who couldn’t have been more helpful accomodating our group! Matilda’s were playing and the place was packed, the staff were flat out and did a great job. The food was excellent, enormous servings, fast and delicious. Just go there!
