I've had the experience of staying at both Lux* and Changliu Mountain Residence. We later moved to Changliu Mountain Residence, also situated in Mingshi. Our stay there affirmed that when it comes to both service and facilities, Lux* takes the undisputed first place, with Changliu Mountain Residence a strong second. Traveling with three adults and a five-year-old, we booked a family room which was spacious and clean. Upon entering the lobby, a gentle and pleasant aroma greeted us. The hotel staff were incredibly warm, courteous, and polite. There was also a shop selling unique Zhuang ethnic souvenirs, perfect for a shopper like me. Both the hotel's ambiance and dining options were exceptional. We dined at the hotel restaurant right after check-in, and every single dish was delicious – absolutely no misses! The afternoon tea selection was also very comprehensive. Overall, if we ever return to Guangxi Mingshi Pastoral, we would definitely choose to stay here again.

We were extremely satisfied with this hotel. The staff provided excellent service, and the rooms were spotless. Upon check-in, the front desk staff proactively upgraded us to a higher-floor room with a mountain view at the back. What truly stood out was the seamless integration of its interior design and overall aesthetics with the natural environment. This was the most satisfying family room experience we've ever had. It was perfect for our family of five with three kids. The hotel service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly courteous. The room was very spacious, and the kids absolutely loved it, not wanting to leave. There are also plenty of attractions nearby. The hotel's dining options were delicious, and the afternoon tea was particularly generous. The highlight for us was definitely the small garden. They even offer in-room BBQ delivery in the evenings, and it tasted absolutely fantastic. This will definitely be our top choice for our next family trip with the kids!

Catching the tail end of the summer holidays, I compared a few guesthouses and finally opted for Changliushanju. While the 1700 price point felt a bit steep, its natural setting by the mountains and water was undoubtedly stunning, and the air even carried the scent of the fields. As for the environment, it's quite good for a guesthouse. With over 100 rooms, it’s not a chain, yet many of its facilities are designed to chain standards. Unfortunately, the staffing seemed inadequate; cleaning was very slow. There's also a gym, but it has limited equipment and confusing signage, so I had to wander around just to figure things out. On the bright side, the front desk service was excellent. The young gentleman in the lobby was particularly enthusiastic. My car tire went flat right as I entered the property, and he helpfully provided a contact number and carried my bags to the room. However, the room still had a faint, rather overwhelming musty smell, clearly indicating dampness. The restaurant's food was decent overall. Yangshuo Changliu Mountain Retreat is in an absolutely phenomenal location, right in the heart of the Ming Shi Pastoral Scenic Area. The surrounding scenery is breathtakingly beautiful, and its proximity to Lux Resorts & Hotels speaks volumes about its prime setting. The rooms were very clean and not damp. Each floor features laundry facilities, a recreation room, a gym, and a designated smoking area. The hotel offers stunning views, and the outdoor pool was a definite highlight. We swam on both our first afternoon and second morning, and the kids absolutely loved it. Extremely impressed with this hotel! If you're planning a family trip to Chongzuo, this place is a must-stay. 1. The hotel's scenery is simply breathtaking. The hotel offered a great range of activities, but unfortunately, our stay was too short to participate in all of them. In the morning, we made scented sachets with our child. Satisfactory Points: 1. The location is excellent, right within Mingshi Scenic Area. The Fish Scale Dam is only a five-minute walk from the lobby. 2. An absolutely fantastic hotel! It's located right next to Yulinba, nestled amidst mountains on all sides, and very convenient for getting around. The surrounding scenery is simply breathtaking – every photo you take turns out picture-perfect. This was an amazing hotel experience. One of the best services of our travels definitely in China. The staff was super helpful even if English is hard for them we got along perfectly with translate apps. They helped us with all our needs. One good example when they filled out the bicycle forms for us which was only available in chines or scheduled a ride for us to Nanning and helped us to pay for it. I can highly recommend the hotel for every foreign traveler.
