The sea outside the window is colorful and has distinct layers on sunny days and rainy days. The meal package unlocks three different meals every day. Dandan noodles have 3 flavors from top to bottom. The bottom layer is Thai chili sauce, which is also delicious. Wontons are like Vietnamese noodles, with vermicelli and meat filling inside. The ice cup tastes very strange, and the thick and thick soup is full of spices, and pepper is added. The most delicious western food, Q-elastic and firm fish, roasted crispy meat, duck legs... Another non-alcoholic drink feels great. The hotel staff is very enthusiastic. I knew I didn’t drink coffee on the second day of my stay. I didn’t drink water in the morning. First of all, the hotel does not provide free island access! The cheapest way to get to the island is to take a 3-hour car ride to another port and take a speedboat, which costs 270 Fijian dollars/person/one way. A round trip for two people to the main island costs ￥3500. This price has to be paid extra! Since the trip was approaching and there was no other better option within the trip time, I had no choice but to accept the more expensive way.
In addition, you can see the policy of free island access for four nights on the official website. However, no matter how many nights you book through Ctrip, you cannot get to the island for free (feedback from Ctrip hotel stewards)
Then came the trip that left people speechless. We needed to transfer in Hong Kong. When I landed in Hong Kong, I received a call from the hotel that a tropical cyclone was approaching Fiji. So the hotel decided not to accept guests to the island, and it also did not provide any accommodation assistance on the main island. It was uncertain when I would be able to land on the island! ! I was faced with the embarrassment of having no place to live in Fiji and a typhoon approaching. Finally, we had no choice but to return in Hong Kong. The hotel only gave me a letter of guarantee document asking me to find travel insurance to recover the loss. They did not provide any services, charged accommodation fees and island landing fees, but refused to refund! ! ! This is the ridiculous logic of **** hotels! ! !

The Davui island and its resort are an absolute treasure with great organisation and service, very well designed rooms and common areas. The pool area is beautifully fitted in and the beach is pristine. Food was excellent and staff extremely nice and well trained. We have been to two other places while in Fiji and the Davui was the absolute highlight. Only thing that could be refined is the turndown service which should not be purely a closing of the curtains but a bit more tidying up of the room.

My partner and I stayed at the Royal Davui resort for six nights. Upon arrival we were welcomed in song by the staff. After a refreshing welcome drink we were escorted to our villa (one of only 16 on the entire island). Breathtaking doesn't adequately describe our private accommodations which included a living room, which opened onto a large deck overlooking the cerulean blue South Pacific. The deck also included a refreshing plunge pool and chase loungers. The bedroom also overlooked the ocean, as did the soaking tub in the bathroom.
Dining included fresh food prepared daily (including daily fresh caught fish) as well as thirst quenching juices, cocktails and a selection of fine wines. We took advantage of one of the two gazebos for private dining one evening.
Excursions were memorable including a boat ride to a neighboring island to tour the community and watch a presentation by the local school children. We also enjoyed a sunset cruise with appetizers, champagne and serenade. We will long remember the tour to the private island (a sliver of sugary white sand) for a picnic which included umbrella, chairs, drinks and lunch.
All of this added to the experience, but not as much as the beautiful, smiling, friendly staff of the Royal Duvai including Iva, Paula, Matthew and David. If you are a senior looking for peace, relaxation or even a little adventure, I would HIGHLY recommend the Royal Duvai Resort.

We do at least two family trips every year and always go for an island vacation in December. We have been to Tahiti and the Maldives a couple of times and decided to try Fiji. I rely on TripAdvisor reviews and was not disappointed. The hotel organized a short transfer flight from Nadi airport to a harbor and then we got on to a speedboat to take us to this remote island paradise. We had a rousing welcome reception and got two adjacent villas. Our Villa had access to a lovely private beach. The whole island is just 10 acres, with only 16 villas and beautifully laid out. The staff is extremely courteous and within a day addressed us by our names. We are vegetarian and are typically apprehensive about the food, but this place was an exception. We were able to select breakfast lunch and dinner items to our satisfaction. Every member of the staff was friendly and courteous. The diving, snorkeling and other activities were seamlessly organized. The sunset cruise were simply fabulous. The highlight of our trip was a lunch on a private Sandy Cay” a private ***** of land 10 minutes away from our remote island. The 2 1/2 hours we spent there was surreal. A big shout out to Chris, Grant and the entire team. Our best Island vacation ever. Plan to take the helicopter over next time. We found paradise. We will definitely come back!

This is the ultimate place to relax, restore and find peace/recharge. The team are the loveliest, great service friendly and the food is great. I noticed the difference in change over of chef. Our bure was beautiful and our plunge pool became a place to watch for sea turtles and black tip sharks. Unforgettable. Well be back . The spa is a daily need! Room 12.

Island Paradise
We booked Royal Davui for our 25th wedding anniversary. Two weeks before, however, I broke my ankle which we feared would mess up the whole holiday. Grant was really prompt and clear answering my multitude of questions, and that level of care continued throughout our all our interactions.
The transfer to the island was a bit of an adventure when undertaken with accessibility issues, but Chris, Grant,and the team made sure I was safe and quite literally supported me every step of the way. Check in was completed in-room to minimise stress and a cold drink and cold towel were waiting as well. Nor did we miss out on the sung welcome; the first of three times we heard the staff choir and their beautiful harmonies.
The included meals were of a very high standard and we were very impressed with the friendliness and care of the staff who delivered our meals to the room. The restaurant experience was also beautiful. We both had massages (which assisted my mobility issues) and my husband was able to fit in a snorkeling adventure, but we mostly just soaked up the gorgeous views and actually had time to talk to each other.
The plunge pool on the deck was a real highlight, and the villas are very thoughtfully and tastefully laid out.
Chris made it his mission to meet my request for a helicopter out. Highly recommend this, not only for ease of transfer but also the stunning views of the island.
Highly recommend, and I hope to return.

My wife and I went to the Royal Davui for our honeymoon and can not recommend it enough!! Every detail is well thought out. The villas are stunning and comfortable offering privacy with amazing views. The staff was so friendly and helpful providing the best service we have every received at a resort. The activities are also so great! Highly recommend the sand cay picnic! Our favorite part of the resort though was the food, which was INCREDIBLE. If you are looking at resorts in Fiji, definitely go with Royal Davui!

The resort is simply the best. With only 16 villas on a beautiful island, you will not feel lost. The Fijian staff have huge hearts and a deep passion for you to have a fabulous stay. Cathy from houskeeping, Va, Matthew, and La in the restaurant, Mere in the spa and Mere at reception, Vincent as guest manage- all the staff, enormous thanks Everything just flows- it seems effortless ( I know a huge amount of work goes iinto this). The villas are beautifully designed in keeping with the island. The food is out of this world. All super fresh- they do not need to say this is from farm-to-table in the menu. David, mixologist extraordinaire, will prepare you his favourite cocktails. There are some great activities- from relaxing with a great spa treatment to hiking on nearby Beqa island, with great guides from one of the local villages. At the end of my hike, we finished with fresh coconut juice from a coconut cut down from the tree by one of the guides. What a way to complete the hike! There is so much more to do including snorkelling and diving. Chris and Grant manage everything seemlessly behind the scenes. Guys, don't give away the secret of how you and your amazing team do such a great job.
