Super 8 by Wyndham Davenport

Lots of care needed The room needed a very thorough cleaning . Lots of dust, dirty surfaces, used soap on the edge of the tub surround, dead bugs in the bathroom light fixture. No security lock on the door, it had been broken off. The lights in the room didn’t work, unplugged or burnt out, I didn’t like walking into a very dark room. Once we turned on the bathroom light we found the other lights were not plugged in. I really don’t feel it is the customer’s responsibility to crawl around or under furniture to plug the lights in. . I travel through Davenport at least six to eight times a year. I have stayed at this hotel before but have never seen it in such terrible condition.

Pool was “closed until further notice”, which was disappointing. Lobby was not very well lit - which when traveling as a female doesn’t make you feel comfortable. Room had two broken drawers, evidence of water damage from the room above. Bathroom fan also didn’t work.

The pool that was advertised was closed. We ended up leaving the hotel for another one with a working pool. We are having difficulty getting a refund for the booking, that was incorrectly advertised.

Easy to find

Lobby smelled of smoke upon arrival, no elevator, free breakfast started at 7:30am (Sat) so worthless to early travelers. TV remote needed batteries.

Power plugs are defective, staff was rude and not willing to help. Deposits still isn’t in my bank account as promised. I did not like my experience
