Bahama Bay Resort

I'll start by saying the apartment is very nice and the grounds are lovely but our main issue was after people moved in above us. The soundproofing is not existent, you can hear everything and we were awoken the first morning at 5am. The guy had a cough and never stopped, you could hear them opening and closing drawers, even heard the guy pass wind. The noise when they flushed the toilet was crazy and they flushed it every 10 minutes. We here now and not sure how much longer we can put up with it, it's driving us mad already.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 13 night stay at Bahama Bay and will be looking to return asap! We stayed in block 36, which is close to the site entrance and we loved the location. We had the option of the small pool around 200 yards from our room, or the larger pool and kids splash park only a couple of mins walk away. All the pools we visited were clean, a good temperature and had great facilities such as toilets/changing rooms, water fountain, showers etc. We had a 3 bedroom apartment which was located on the top floor, which wasn't an issue for us, but would be for those with mobility issues as there were no lifts. Although the site is quite large, we found it very quiet and peaceful. It is incredibly well kept and feels very safe with a gated entry and 24 hour security. The only slight downside was that there were no food/drinks being served at the splash park pool. This may be due to it being out of season but was a little disappointing nevertheless, as it meant us having to walk over to the Tradewinds pool area which was a fair walk away. Proximity to locations (driving); Disney Parks - 20 minutes Sea World/Universal - 40 minutes Groceries (Publix) - 5 minutes Melbourne Airport - 100 minutes Overall, i would thoroughly recommend Bahama Bay and we can't wait to return. The actual apartment was stunning. A few tiny niggles but nothing bad. Our issue was with the people above us in building 4 room 408… All they did was bang their feet from 10am till 3am. Move furniture around at stupid o’clock. Loud music, throwing themselves around the rooms. At one point I actually thought they were coming through the ceiling. They screamed and shouted at each other. We called the front desk a minimum of 6 times to complain and also we were very concerned for the safety of the above guests. I don’t believe anyone did anything about their noise. It absolutely spoilt our holiday and sadly we would not recommend bahama bay or return.

We had a lovely time at the Bahama Bat Resort. The unit was lovely and perfect for our family. The pools were clean and pleasant. Wasn’t too busy that we felt crowded. When we had any issues the staff was very attentive and responded right away. We can’t wait to come back next year.

We had such a great experience at Bahama Bay. We loved having the conveniences of home (full kitchen, washer/dryer) and multiple pools and activities on site. We walked every morning and spent much of the day at the pool by Tradewinds and then evenings up at the pool by the Club House. Every guest services person was super friendly, including security on our way in/out. Felt it was a great value for a quick getaway. Would visit again!
