I had an unpleasant start with this hotel - the reception staff told me that my booking with Trip.com was unacceptable and there were no record of my booking. Fortunately I was able to reach Trip.com's Customer Service personnel, Ms Yolanda who was able to resolve the matter with the hotel. All in, it took about 40 mins before I could finally checked-in. This hotel badly needs to be refurbished - the aircond leaked badly and not cold throughout my 3 days stay, the shower spray is quite dysfunctional, the sink is small - no place to put any toiletries, has no stopper and some of my toiletries fell into the sink hole were irretrievable. The swimming pool is dirty as there is no control and supervision on the people using the pool who were NOT wearing proper swimming attire and were barefooted with sands when they went into the pool. The only upside of this hotel is its location, which is right at the Babak ferry wharf, save time to queue at the ferry terminal and the hotel security assists its guests with cars in getting in and out of the queue.

Budget Choice of Samal Island 🏝️ Resort Next to Ferry Terminal. It is a convenient resort just in case you don’t mind obsolete facilities with full toilet smell in guest rooms. It is a mid-size beach resort, but sea water a bit oily and polluted due to busy marine activities. A guest room is spacious, with double size bed but there is not hard to find cockroaches somewhere, particularly night time. No plain water, coffee, soap, toothbrush, water heater, hair dryer and toilet paper, TV doesn’t work. I guess the management cuts budget cost to make the business survives. After booked through Agoda, we noticed that there is a travel scam since $2500 peso one night without 2x breakfasts, and have to pay extra $700 peso for 2x breakfasts. If you walk in there, there is a big banner showing that the “promo” price is $1800 peso with 2x breakfasts. Oh my god😩😢🥹

I mostly spent weekends in this resort. By far it’s the most convenient and accessible resort for a weekend getaway to rest and relax with my family. It’s just a 15 minute ferry ride crossing the island of Samal (IGACOS). They have good amenities and cheap order of food at the Resto. Though the place is not much of a fancy but we’re comfortable. It has always been our place to go to.y

Great accommodation and very satisfying views, and there's a lot of great amenities. And i can say that, it is very budget friendly specifically to those people who have lesser budget. And you can access it easily because it is just along the wharf. Highly recommend resort

There resort is very nice and have an approachable staff. Excellent lodging with extremely pleasing views and plenty of excellent facilities. And I can affirm that it is really affordable, especially for those with smaller budgets. Additionally, it's conveniently accessible as it's right next to the wharf. Strongly suggest this resort.
