We travelled to Corfu on 10th August with 2 of our friends and we stayed at Iolida Corfu hotel in Dassia, the transfer to the resort took about 25 minutes, we got checked in by a lovely lady on reception and our bags taken to our room, I had emailed the hotel before we went as we like an upper floor room and that is what we got and our friends were in the room next door, the room itself was lovely, modern and very clean, the bathroom was lovely with a fab shower ( we didn’t have hot water some nights in the shower but we didn’t mind as the weather was very hot so a cool shower was nice ), the balcony was a good size and our views of both sea and mountains was fabulous. The food at this hotel is so good we didn’t have any complaints, we loved breakfast, lunch & dinner, the bar drinks were ok on the all inclusive not a great range of choice again the staff were friendly and chatty. The swimming pools the big one was ridiculously deep and the metal steps to get out the first step was about waist height nigh on impossible to get your foot on and pull yourself up, we used the quiet pool which was still deep at one end but much more manageable, no sun bed wars always got the 4 beds we needed. The biggest thing we didn’t like about the hotel was no night time entertainment other than a quiz or bingo, and the music they play at the bar is terrible so we went out after dinner for a few drinks and some decent music which isn’t easy in Dassia which is so run down. We loved our 10 days in Corfu but we wouldn’t stay here again due to the lack of night entertainment and Dassia its self.
