Waterfront House

What a treat this place is!!! We checked in for one night in March 2025. Received a call from the proprietor asking what time we would be checking in, and we were able to get the key and drop our bags off prior to check-in at 2pm, which was dead helpful. The whole place is very tastefully decorated and our room, (The Terrace), was really gorgeous. The owner had kindly put our bags in the room. We had a cup of tea and two of the four home-baked cookies which were a delight. There is also a Nespresso machine with plenty of supplied capsules to keep the most ardent coffee drinker happy. The bed was extremely comfy and we both slept well. The bathroom is well-appointed albeit quite a squeeze in this particular room. The shower was really good but I do have a minor gripe about the shower door - it was quite awkward to shut properly - resulting in my partner flooding the floor and mopping up with towels. I was then aware but still didn't find it the easiest thing to manouevre! My other tiny teeny observation would be about the mat on the floor by the tea and coffee facilities. I guess it's there to absorb spillages which I applaud, I would just say get a nicer mat!! The curly grey floor mat didn't do justice to the rest of the delightful room! Breakfast in the morning was exceptional, plenty of choice and fabulous fresh, local produce. (The sausage was amongst the best I've every had). Parking nearby could be a bit of an issue, but it's not a chore to walk along the promenade from the car park!! Jon and Julie were very friendly and I would really highly recommend a visit - you will not be disappointed!!!

Just returned home after a great weekend in Dartmouth staying in Estuary room at Waterfront House. It is a lovely place to stay, with stylish decoration, comfortable bedroom, first class breakfast and lovely views across the Dart. This will be our first choice of accommodation when visiting Dartmouth again. Thanks Jon and Julie for your hospitality

This place is an absolute GEM! Here for business for one evening and a sublime welcome from Julie, beautiful smelling, looking establishment. Presented with a stunning room overlooking the dart, appointed like a 5* hotel rather than a B&B! Espresso coffee, shower robe, beautiful rainfall shower and fresh cookies. I’m so impressed with the place and I strongly recommended. I have no doubt breakfast will be sublime as per the other reviews! Thanks guys!

This venue was exceptional. Friendly and professional hosts , excellently presented, tastefully decorated , accommodation high standard. Bed very comfortable and slept well. Breakfast is superb with good choice and quality. With directly overlooking the harbour and and scenic views , perfect location for touring Devon

Perfect stay, perfect location A truly wonderful find. The Woterfront House was perfect from start to finish. We managed to park right outside the door and didn’t move the car for two whole days. It was in the most perfect location. We had the nook room, small but so clean and had everything we could possibly need, even homemade cookies!! Delicious. The breakfast choices were just wonderful, fresh and cooked to perfection. The buffet selection was gorgeous too. We will definitely stay again when we go again. I would highly recommend this hotel
