Residence Inn Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port

Beware booking with this hotel!!!!! The check-in was the worst experience I have ever had!  I was told that I cancelled 2 of the 3 rooms!  Impossible!  My 1 reservation was for 3 rooms!  I have email confirmation (just received 2 days prior) of my full payment!  In front of my family (9 ppl, 4 of which are kids), I was embarrassed, treated as though I’m dumb, that I did something wrong, kept us waiting & waiting!!!!!   It has been a long day & was late, so I decided to “just pay” for a 2 bedr suite (all that was left).  I had reserved & PAID for 3 rooms each with 2 queens.  Not only were we inconvenienced because the 2 bedroom suite (that cost me the price of my 1 booking for all 3 rooms!), had only 1 queen in each of the 2 rooms, 2 ppl had to sleep on a sofa bed!   They also charged $50 for parking even tho I showed them it said free parking on my confirmation!  Again, they don’t care!  Trip.com should refund me because I guess their information wasn’t accurate! When I got home, contacted Trip.com.  They “kinda” tried but they only got hotel to refund me $135 cad for the additional $586.16 I had to pay!!!!   Trip.com only refunded me $100 cad!   So I got ripped off $351.16 cad!!!!   I’ve made bookings before with Trip.com (1 for 2 rooms/1 for 3 rooms) with no issues.  BUT after this, I don’t know if can I ever trust them again!!!???

Spacious room. Near airport. Good value.  Complimentary breakfast is pretty good.

Expensive room and doesn’t come with water?! It’s a clean hotel with good service.

Staff were excellent especially Katrina Jacobs front desk agent! All staff were very friendly and helpful. Very pleasant stay before cruise. Very nice to be able to have a cruise ship shuttle to airport from hotel even though you have to pay for it. Would recommend staying here. Clean rooms and close to public transportation. Breakfast was great!

Poor experience. I had contacted the hotel a week prior to arrange for an early check in(1 Hour earlier), and arrived to find a lobby filled to capacity+ with people and luggage. The front desk had no idea when a room would be ready. Upon landing I noted a call from a mgr, but the front desk checked and informed me that it was ok for now..why the call then? We had dinner plans with cousins and no room. After 4pm and no room, etc..No reason given other than the rooms were not ready. Finally assigned a room around 5pm or after, do not recall the exact time, but it took a lot of cajoling. Upon my return from a cruise vacation I called 2x and the front desk left messages for the mgr to contact me regarding the late check in, etc. As of 1/15/26 no call has been returned. Extremely poor . Will not be staying at this hotel again.
