Stayed here for one night. The room was excellent and so were the staff. I had to point out my visa free stamp in my passport as it’s only a recent change that New Zealanders get 15 days visa free access to China so I imagine I was the first New Zealander to stay there. Overall the place was great and I would recommend it to everyone. The breakfast in the morning was also excellent with plenty of choice.

The location is great and the price was reasonable for a 5 star hotel. However, there were some things that seemed lacking of a 5 star hotel. The CONS - Rooms come with heavy smoke smell and ashtray even if asking for non smoking, and it was open smoking in the lobby and even elevators. I would have loved a bathtub instead of only a shower. The breakfast was very good for the price (48 rmb) but didn't include juices and their attempt at adding bacon was horrific as it was a fake street sausage type of bacon that's bright red and inedible. There was brand-name water bottles and then there was the hotel water bottles in the room and there was a menu charging 2 rmb to heat up water. I am not sure how they would know or if this is to charge for the people who steal the tea and coffee. But I would expect to boil water for free. Also the gym closed at 19:00 and it seemed a bit early. The PROS - The beds were comfortable. The staff did their best to accommodate and even allowed picking up luggage later. The coffee shop inside had great coffee if you dont mind the smoke. The breakfast was a great value for 48 rmb. The location was great and convenient. The hotel was able to check us in to the room early with availability. The hot spring SPA was amazing as well since there was no pool but you need to be careful not to let them give you extra services (which are sub par) and just enjoy the hot water and sauna for free when you buy something.

The hotel was great overall. We would recommend it. The service was impecable: Every time we needed something we would call the front desk and they would answer right away. If we ordered food it would be delivered by a friendly robot directly to our door. There were a couple of cleanliness issues: one was a stain of humidity in the bathroom, and the other was one of the coffee mugs which was improperly cleaned. (Photos below)

Good location from the river walkway to the broken bridge. Also a 15 minute taxi ride to the railway station made it very convenient. Best Western style and Chinese breakfast one could ask for as well as ongoing friendly service. The coffee could be better, but cannot compare it to a coffee shop. Spacious warm rooms made it the perfect place to rest and relax after a busy day (during winter). Will definitely be back if I return to Dandong

We booked the one facing Dandong city, and the view is also very good. The hotel facilities are old and clean. The hot springs are very good and suitable for all kinds of people. However, I really want to ask: Did we renovate it in 2019? I definitely decided on this! Decoration style + rickety cabinet doors, mottled mirrors, dust on the corners... I'm not satisfied, and the most important thing is that my children are very dissatisfied. It's the most failed hotel in Dandong! It’s understandable that there are many people at breakfast and it’s a holiday, but shouldn’t we delay the meal time a little or increase the number of dining tables and chairs? When I finished eating, there were six tables left. I drank the last sip of milk and the waiter removed the cup. I finished the last dumpling and the waiter removed the bowl. I took the last bite of the food and the waiter removed the plate...

The room size is large. A hot spring bath is also provided. The hot spring is good, the male hot spring is on the top floor and outside, you can see the broken bridge.

Bad review: The equipment is worn out and cannot be used normally: the shower sprayed in all directions when it was raining and could not be flushed normally. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was broken and could not be used normally. The mattress collapsed, so the store made do with two quilts spread on the bed.

The hotel's hygiene is extremely poor, it smells unclean, the bedding is smelly, and the air conditioning is not good. I don't know how to rate this five-star rating. It's a pity that such a good location is good. The service attitude of the hotel front desk is good. During this trip to Liaodong, I felt the epidemic. It has had a huge impact on the hotel industry. The maintenance and sanitation of many hotels cannot meet the cleanliness and tidiness standards, and only a few have good air conditioning. Before the epidemic, these problems did not occur in the Northeast.

The facilities are old. There is nothing in the room that is not broken. The toilet base is leaking. There are also very few sockets. The carpet is dirty. The pillow smells very strong! ! ! Overall it sucks! The only thing I can see is that the attitude of the front desk is pretty good.

Although they paid 100 million yuan to upgrade my room type, there are still many areas that the hotel needs to improve. One is the service, the other is the hygiene. In order to fix the circuit problem in a room, they randomly turned off the power at night, and the lights, TV and all the electrical appliances in the room automatically started repeatedly. I thought it was **. Not recommended!

The garden view room I booked was upgraded to a river view room. The service and breakfast are very good.
