I drove to western Sichuan and arrived at Danba. I found that most of the hotels on Ctrip were homestays, so I chose Hanting. Unexpectedly, the room was bigger than I expected. The hotel was very eye-catching and was on the other side of the river. The lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic. She helped me get a membership and gave me a 50 yuan coupon, which allowed me to have breakfast for 4 people for 49 yuan.

The hotel is easy to find, just by the road. All toiletries in the room are disposable and all facilities are available. The company sent me some information when I was on a business trip, and my boss helped me print it out without asking for money. He is such a nice person! Stayed for a few days, it was very comfortable, very quiet, and I had a good rest. The parking lot is super large, free, very convenient, and there is no detour. After parking the car, I took the elevator directly upstairs. It was very friendly for us on business trips, and very cost-effective!

NNuanyangyangThe location of the B&B is very close to the gate of the scenic area, but it is very quiet at night. The owner is warm and considerate, and the whole environment is very clean and tidy. Both the public area and the room are very comfortable. There are two viewing platforms on the roof of the B&B. The viewing angle and location are great! The breakfast is even richer and you can't finish it at all! There are side dishes, staple foods, eggs, and butter tea. The valley of the entire scenic area is very large, and there are many ******* houses~ and they are all very beautiful. You can stay and slowly feel the slow pace of life. It's a great travel experience (^_^)

Hosts are amazing. They welcomed me in their wonderful local house, and I felt like at home from the beginning. I shared the meals with them, and food was more than delicious and original! There's a garden and all the fruits and vegetables come from there. Eggs, milk, meats and butter are locally sourced. The room was spacious, very comfortable, well decorated with original ******* design. The toilet was clean and hot water was always available. There's a rooftop from where you can admire the stunning landscapes. I miss this place and my friends so much: I'll definitely go back because this place is unique and unforgettable.

JJuan Manuel CaldaroniWe stayed for two nights and the view from the room is stunning. The tibetan-styled decoration is amazing and makes all the difference, but there were also a few downsides which I have to mention.
- For someone that does not speak Chinese, it is very hard to find. So we will write here how we did: from Tagong we took a shared vehicle to Bamei. From there, we took another shared vechicle to Danba, and from Danba, there are rural shared vehicles that will take you to Jiaju. I attach the image of the road sign where you need to get off. There is an entry fee to Jiaju town.
- Regarding this rural vehicle, comes the biggest disappointment of our stay, as we asked the owner of the hotel to call a vehicle for us (there is no other way to leave) and he replied “you can look for yourself and if you cannot find one, I will help you”… without a Chinese phone number and without speaking Chinese, it is impossible to call a local driver. So we mentioned this, and he called one driver. When we asked how much we should pay, he say 50 yuan for two people, same as he told us to pay on the way here, but his wife was there and got very angry at him because the real price was 15 yuan per person, and he was part of the rip off.
The lady was very friendly and helpful, on the other side, so we want to thank her for her help as she tried to help us.
Despite this, we still reccommend you to come as it is a beautiful place and there are walking paths that you can use to walk everywhere in town.
The shared toilet was not a problem, hot water works well.

I have to say, getting up the mountain was a bit of a challenge, but after contacting the hotel, the staff quickly came out to meet us and patiently guided us to a smooth arrival! Tucked away in the mountains, the hotel offers a serene environment and fresh air – truly a hidden gem of a getaway!
The young lady at check-in was incredibly enthusiastic, proactively helping us with our luggage and giving us a detailed introduction to the hotel facilities and local activities along the way. The room was even more charming than I expected! The retro design paired with mountain-view windows made every photo-op Instagram-worthy 📸. While the facilities weren't brand new and luxurious, they were clean, tidy, and had a distinctive character. The toilet flushed normally, the shower had plenty of water (and a thoughtful non-slip mat!), and hot water came quickly.
I particularly loved the room's details: well-placed power outlets, a powerful hairdryer, and a kettle that boiled water super fast! The bedding was soft and dry, ensuring a great night's sleep until dawn. Waking up to bird song the next morning and opening the window to a sea of clouds and mountain views was incredibly therapeutic!
Breakfast was authentic local farm fare; the multigrain porridge and side dishes were especially refreshing, and the staff kept asking if we wanted more. At checkout, the young man at the front desk proactively helped carry our luggage to the parking lot and reminded us to drive safely on the mountain roads.
Although the hotel's location is a bit secluded, it's precisely this peaceful remoteness, away from the hustle and bustle, that allows for complete relaxation! I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely come back to experience the mountain scenery in different seasons.

There is a small museum inside, and the hotel itself is a landscape. The housekeeper was very enthusiastic and introduced it in detail!
