Blue Lantern Inn, A Four Sisters Inn

We loved our stay at the Blue Lanter. We were welcomed with a glass of champagne, and shortly after a beautiful wine and cheese hour. Our room was beautiful with a patio area over looking the ocean.

We had a wonderful experience at the Blue Lantern Inn. The views of the harbor are fantastic. The location is ideal. It's steps away from the Lantern District with tons of restaurants ( we enjoyed Bon Apetit and Coastal Kitchen) and local shops. The staff were so helpful with insights and recommendations. Highly recommended!

Blue Lantern Inn absolutely nails it every single time. The views are insane — the kind you keep stepping out onto the balcony for because you can’t believe they’re real. The staff is genuinely friendly, warm, and makes you feel like you’re coming home, not checking in. Breakfast? Amazing. Fresh, delicious, and exactly what you want before heading out for the day. And the wine happy hour is the perfect touch — relaxing, social, and such a vibe before dinner or the festival. This was our 4th Ohana Fest, and out of everywhere we’ve stayed, this is the only hotel we’re already looking forward to and booking for next year. Blue Lantern Inn is officially our Dana Point tradition.

One of our favorite stays in the United States! Beautiful hotel situated on a cliff overlooking the harbor and the Pacific ocean beyond. The area around the hotel was beautiful, quiet and residential. Walkable to downtown and the many restaurants. Rooms themselves were perfect as well, with some of if not the most comfortable bedding we have slept on while away from home. We especially enjoyed having our own porch, being able to drink coffee in the morning and watch the harbor come to life. Service was also top notch, with the breakfast being delicious and the afternoon wine/espresso hour was also a plus. Overall, would stay here again and again!

The Inn is the best place to stay when visiting the coast. From the folks at the front desk to the handyman everyone was Happy to Help us. Their Breakfast choices were great. Coming back to the Inn from a day of being out and about as the location is close to other beach towns, to be greeted by a wine and cheese spread shows a level of hospitality few places offer. Our room had an ocean view and did I mention parking is included. All in all a very nice place to stay with lots of atmoshere. I would say it was a very good value.

Great location and great view of the Harbor (room 303). Quiet hotel. Spacious room and bathroom with double sinks. Breakfast was good and enjoyed the appetizers and drinks in the evening. Staff was very friendly and nice. Highly recommend this hotel

Outstanding hotel and location. Service was incredible. The Breakfast and happy hour outstanding. This is now my “Happy Place”. I’ll be back for sure.

We were delighted to spend 2 nights at Blue Lantern with a deck with a panoramic view of the harbor. The room was comfortable and spacious. The greeting by the staff was friendly with a welcome drink. The afternoon wine and appetizers were delicious. The breakfast in the morning was very tasty and extensive (more of an European touch than the dismal American corporate type). I highly recommend!
