Cozy like a Bed and Breakfast with the privacy of a boutique hotel. Calm and relaxed atmosphere. Very clean and a wonderful location! The view of the harbor was spectacular and we could see it all from our private balcony. Even though it was warm enough, we still had the fire going in the fireplace for ambience. Everyone we encountered at The Blue Lantern was so friendly! This was my fourth time to stay there.

This is our favorite place to stay for a couple of nights away on the coast. There is just something about the location and the inn itself that is so relaxing. I love the view overlooking the harbor and ocean. There are good restaurants and within walking distance of the inn. The cookies in the afternoon rock.

This is a lovely property with a great location. We had room 305 with a terrace and good views of the ocean and marina. Many restaurants are within a very walkable distance in the Lantern District. The breakfasts were very nice each morning and there is a happy hour (actually 4-5:30 I think it was) with wines, cheeses and cookies.

I had a fantastic experience at this inn. The staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast and afternoon snacks were quality and plentiful. The room was clean and well prepared with excellent linens. Views were amazing.

We try to spend a week around the Christmas Holidays at the Blue Lantern Inn every year. It is a nice break from the big resorts with a friendly atmosphere, excellent service, and friendly staff. Our room had a fireplace and a back patio where we enjoyed a beautiful view of the Dana Point harbor and boats.

Staff was not as nice as I expected for what I paid. The jet tub didn’t work I called the front desk and they didn’t seem to care and said there was nothing they could do to accommodate

Nice but not awesome
Cute but not a luxury property. Balcony view was nice, room was comfortable but showing some age and wear. Bed was clean but carpet was really stained all over. Bathroom was nice. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Overall it was on the expensive side for what it was.

We celebrated our anniversary weekend at this hotel. The hotel was clean plenty of parking. Our room was nice in the wine hour in the front of the Inn was nice. We had a wonderful view of Dana point Harbor from our patio. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, and the staff at the front desk were super friendly, engaging, and helped us during our stay. We loved our stay and we can’t wait to stay here again.
