This place was a treasure! We arrived late and were immediately made to feel very welcome by James - the host/owner. We went straight to bed and had a great nights sleep in a very cozy bed. The next morning we had a chance to look at the inside of this beautiful property. The home was full of beautiful antiques and had a wonderful ambiance. James was a superb host and filled us with a delicious home cooked breakfast of eggs, sausage, grits, biscuits, grapefruit, stewed apples and all of the coffee and juice we wanted. It was delicious. While we ate, James gave us a history of this beautiful property which has been in his family for well over a hundred years. It was truly a wonderful visit. We'll be back and we strongly recommend you visit this place.

I am so glad that I did not believe the last reviews. This place is great! This is not a Hampton Inn and suites or a Fairfield Inn. This is an amazing bed-and-breakfast with lots of antiques, and lots of history! I did not get to eat breakfast, but it sure smells good! The owners are just as sweet as they can be. If you see negative reviews on here about this place, do not listen! The room was clean, the bathroom was clean, and the bed was super comfortable… Which is why I miss breakfast. We will definitely be back! It is also reasonably priced.

The outside appeared very unkept. The grounds appeared not to have been mowed in several weeks. The house had a very unpleasant smell. The smell was throughout the house. It did not appear clean inside or out. The hosts were not attentive when we arrived. We were so concerned about the stay that we left and found another hotel even though we had paid. The house does not look like the pictures. Could not figure out how it received 4 stars. I hope other people will not pay before seeing the place.

Fabulous Historic beautiful well maintained home with lots of Victorian rooms we stayed in the honeymoon suite with a bathroom and the bed was very comfortable lots of space ! Woke up for 8:30am eggs bacon breakfast with grapefruit juice and lots of homemade surprises !! The table settling was so beautiful and the time we spent there will be forever a great memory !!! Thank you James and Connie !! Spectacular restful visit

Worst place I have ever stayed in my life. Disgustingly dirty. This place should be shut down. It's dangerous and absolutely filthy. We had to have showers when we left it. Owners very unfriendly and unhelpful.

Gave it a poor rating as I place a premium on cleanliness. The stairs were dusty, the base of the toilet had hair and dust on it. The biscuits on the welcoming table were molded. We arrived around 8 pm and the place was dark with the exception of a porch light…we called the number posted but the hostess was fixing dinner & said our instructions were posted on the door (it had someone else’s name on it)….so we picked a room. Mattresses were comfortable but we won’t be back.

Stayed two nights (Tower Room). It was the perfect place to relax after spending the day hiking and exploring. Off the main highway, it was secluded and peaceful. Innkeepers were available if needed, but we had the property to ourselves. One of the best breakfasts we've had, and great conversation. Appreciated the snacks, sodas, and wine! Shared bath wasn't a problem - even with a full house. Will definitely return on our next Damascus adventure!

Upon our arrival, James welcomed us and provided directions upon our return from getting a bite to eat. We actually would have been satisfied with the fruit and cookies they had available within. After eating at the 7 Trails Grill, we returned to find a comfortable common space to relax. Our room (the Bay room) was lovely, with a beautiful bed that complemented the high ceiling and other decor. We had the shared bathroom to ourselves with everything needed for out stay. After a satisfying night's sleep, coffee was available before our 8:30 breakfast. The homemade breakfast of eggs, home fries, biscuits, sausage gravy, sausage, and a variety of jams was delightful, as was the interesting conversation with the proprieters. We greatly enjoyed our stay.
