Booked 2 rooms . Was given an “upgrade” to rooms in basement 2 (B2) next to where the washing of all linen was done. Both rooms were filled with a mix of musky smell and strong laundry powder which affected one of our members who was asthmatic . In one room, there was l no window. The ventilation was very poor. In addition, a spoon was found with mould in one of the rooms and the side table next to the bed which housed the hotel’s slippers reeked of feet odour. After requesting change of rooms to the hotel , the management declined to move us to other rooms saying the hotel was fully booked despite the sign on the main entrance which states that rooms were available. Hotel’s management insisted that both rooms were also non refundable.
Staff at the counter tried his best to help- provided a fan in each room for better ventilation but this did not help much.
Breakfast included a can sardines, a slice of cold bread , butter and eggs.
Due to the poor condition of the rooms affecting our stay, we had no choice but to forfeit our pre- paid bills for the rooms on the second and third night to move to another accommodation.
