My stay was four nights, five days at the end of April and beginning of May. Unfortunately, what I remember most about this stay was the lack of Wi-Fi service available in my room for two days in a row following a regional power outage. I reported this to the front desk as soon as I discovered the problem. They were very friendly, but they didn't have the ability to resolve the technical problem with the property's Wi-Fi service. I thought about offering to fix it myself but I knew they wouldn't allow me. So, instead of being able to use my laptop on the desk provided in my room, this caused me to spend way more time off property than I otherwise would. Eventually, I was given a ticket number and told to call a 1-877 phone number. I was able to get connected again to their wireless network on the second day with the help of the technical representative on the other end of the phone that had the ability to technically do anything. Nobody physically at the hotel were capable of doing anything. Even if they had the technical knowledge, they still wouldn't be able to do anything. Important, strategic business choices in play here. I was satisfied with my room itself notwithstanding the aforementioned wireless service issue. The bed was big and comfortable. The bathroom was clean with everything in working order. I was appreciative of all the power and USB outlets offered in the room. Having both a mini fridge and a microwave were both helpful and accommodating. Again, very friendly people at the front desk. I was greeted most days after returning back to the hotel at the end of the day. There was plenty of ample parking available in the lot everyday. I didn't have any issues with parking. The King bed room that I stayed in was $96/night before taxes.

The Rooms on the Website are Different!!!! I like the new layout the hotel has!! Good Job on that. Rooms are updated, which I liked. ;-) They even allowed my family and I, a later check out, which helped because of our flight. The GM i think her name is Nikia, was very good to talk with. Thank You again, we will be back.

This is our go to hotel when traveling south from New York State for an overnight stay. Clean, comfortable, good hot breakfast and best of all: considerate, helpful staff. I left a medical item behind in my room and Nathan at the front desk called me and made sure I would have it mailed to me. Within 24 hours, he was packaging it and getting it ready for UPS. Amazing!

This hotel has a policy of charging early check in fees. As a diamond member, having spent a fair amount of money with Hilton, I find this greedy and offensive. In addition, I found management's response incompetent and thoughtless. Steer clear. There are better hotel options in the area.

I came to HAMPTON INN by HILTON in Dalhgren for my birthday and when I got here I arrived earlier than expected and I was hoping for an early check in. I had spoken with sapphire who is a host at the desk days before and asked about early check in and she told me that it’s a $50 fee which I thought was strange. but at this point, I probably would have paid it because I just wanted to relax. Sapphire said that they didn’t have any rooms available which is understandable and it would probably be 2 o’clock because they had to clean 60 rooms mind you I only needed one. So I sat in the lobby, then in my car, then in the lobby and all she would say is nothing is available. I think the customer service by her was extremely poor and another worker came and said the whole third floor has been cleaned . Mind you . I am still waiting almost 2 o’clock another associate comes in and ask, can he help me and I told him I am waiting on a room and I have been waiting since 10 o’clock and he said if you were a gold or silver member you could’ve checked in earlier. What in the world. At their customer service level I would never be a gold or a silver member. I always stay at the Holiday Inn and they always accommodate whether You’re coming early or not their customer service is number one. This is the first time I have ever went to a hotel and they had rooms available but made you wait just because. I really felt that I was discriminated against . I was feeling mad and sad. Then after waiting for a room I FINALLY get one at almost 2 :00 and it smells like sewage. GABRIEL another customer host was very helpful and I wish he was there earlier because he was a much better host and professional. HAMPTON INN should keep in mind that good customer service and accommodation goes a long way.

The clerks for both check in and check out were friendly and efficient. We were in and out quickly, spending less than two minutes at the desk total. The property was clean and in good shape. Everything in the room worked like it was supposed to. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The pool was set at a comfortable temperature, although we had to bring towels from the room. Breakfast was well stocked with a staff member refilling the food and cleaning after guests throughout. Overall, this was a very good experience.

We were traveling through Virginia from Florida when we had a terrible car accident. We stayed in Dahlgren for 5 nights at the Hampton Inn in Dahlgren, VA. The staff was amazing. They knew we were going through a family crisis and knew our kids were scared and stressed because of the situation with the car accident and being stranded. They went out of their way to help us, made sure we had everything we needed and treated us with compassion and kindness. Tay was especially kind to my children and was patient with us as we were trying to figure out how long we needed to stay there, Sylvia was so sweet and accommodating and Amanda especially went out of her way to make us feel welcome and thought of. We will always remember their hospitality. In addition, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.

My family and I were traveling through Virginia from Florida when we were in a terrible car accident that totaled our vehicle. Fortunately we were all ok. We had originally planned on staying overnight but ended up have to stay for 5 nights. The desk staff, Tay and Sylvia were absolutely the best, understanding our predicament and helped accommodating us for the extra nights. Amanda who puts together the breakfast especially went out of her way to make us feel welcome. This Hampton was a little out of our way but, we would definitely stay here again.

DO NOT STAY THERE! Holiday inn express right across the street 10/10 better!!! 1st problem was our room was “bumped” to a smaller room with not enough beds. 2nd when we asked for a roll away the front desk manager came to our room yelling, then we saw roaches around the fridge. We obviously went leave after being there a total of 21 minutes and were told we would not be refunded 190 and change. I called corporate and the front desk manager Ty lied and said we used the room over 8 hours, used the beds and trashed the room. I obviously had proof to show otherwise but now because she (front desk manager) denied our refund we could only get 2500 points or a check refund that takes up to 60 days to get mailed. We stayed at the Holiday Inn which was 100% nicer, staff was amazing, rooms are clean. Save your time and money and drive across the street!!
