I visited here with my wife and friends whilst visiting Snowdonia national park, it's a lovely clean accommodation with all the mod cons, smart TV, WiFi secure garden plenty of parking. Accommodation is warm and modern can't fault at all, the added hot tub is lovely after a day walking. It's approx 40mins drive to Snowdonia and the hustle and bustle of Bets-y-coed. The pub is a lovely friendly relaxing place to grab decent food and relax, good selection of beers and well stocked bar I would visit here again and recommend to friends and family

Although we arrived just after three pm and were taken up to our room (room 2) it wasn’t ready so we had a free drink at the bar while the lovely manageress sorted things out. The room was initially a bit chilly but I soon had the radiator on and by the time we returned in the evening it was toasty warm. The tv had plenty of Chanel’s and the signal was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was the continental type which was adequate. The bed was super comfy and I certainly would recommend the Blue Lion to future visitors.

Visited here on the 13/05/2023 after a long hike in the area. We hadn't booked, but were given a warm welcome and food arrived promptly. There was a really good menu with lots of choice. Everything was well cooked, tasty and fresh. The pub is obviously very popular with local people, which is fantastic when so many pubs are closing in rural areas. It was busy, but with a good atmosphere and very friendly. Highly recommended.

Cannot fault the accommodation, clean and very comfortable bed. It is a working pub which is very popular with the local patrons, so be prepared, especially if the weather is good. Many come for the food which was simply loverly. I had a triple starter for £13 choosing, salt and pepper chips (not what you would expect, simply brilliant), meaty nachos.... yummy and chicken wings. Rich with flavour and well presented, see pic. Overall I cannot fault it. My only reason for fibbing it 4 instead of 5* was because it was so very busy. If a small well run gastro pub is for you, then you will not get better for the money in my opinion

I don’t think I’ve ever left a 5* review on TA before, but this place deserves it. Lovely food, drinks, friendly staff and locals, all in stunning North Wales countryside. Room immaculately clean, tea and coffee, water, biscuits provided. Will return!

A night booked in The Blue Lion, which is just an hour or so from where we live, was very enjoyable. The Blue Lion is a lovely local pub & everyone who came through the door was friendly & ready for a chat - even though we didn't put another log on the fire - which I was told if you sit next to the log burner you had to keep feeding it with logs....ooops sorry. When we went back in to the bar later, someone had manage to revive it. We'd booked in for Sunday lunch - starters of fish cake for me & pate for John & then we both had roast beef with veg & a rather large Yorkshire pudding...both courses we delicious. There was a good selection of beers, spirits & some very enjoyable cocktails - which would of been very rude not to try... Our room was lovely & clean, the bed was so comfortable - a good night's sleep was had by both of us. We will be going back again.

The best thing is that the landlord is very helpful and caring! The rooms are freshly refurbished and clean with lovely bathrooms. Every morning freshly cooked delicious breakfast from local products. In the evening you can enjoy a cozy pub downstairs and friendly staff. Big parking on the side (it's an important point)

Cannot recommend highly enough. We arrived at the house and were greeted by a hot and bubbling hot tub. Such a modern, clean and beautiful property set in an absolutely stunning idyllic location. We had a gorgeous meal in the pub, was blown away by the standard of the meal. I couldn't find a fault if I spent a week trying. I would absolutely recommend this place to anybody.
