Jot's Resort

Everything was fine except the noise. We had a bottom floor unit and it was right by the stairs. People were walking around upstairs and going up the stairs way into the late night. It was a Friday night. The television sound cut out after every third word that was spoken. The television was nice and big just bad sound.

Unfortunately a very bad experience! I’ve never complained but I felt that I needed to let the management know while checking out. I even showed them photos about how dirty the place was! One of the managers a male came out screaming & gesturing with his arms and hands to get out of the lobby! I will never go back or recommend this place! Piles of garbage bags on the deck next to our deck bad odor!!!

I've been coming here for over 30 years. The place has been let go. There are a few rooms that have been modernized. The room was exceptional. The location on the 3rd floor was not. My husband is sight and mobility impaired. This is not a Handicapped Accessible Resort. In fact, this is hardly a resort anymore. The front desk was of no help. I had no lighting in the room other than in the bathrooms. The reading lights next to the bed and all electrical outlets were non functioning. I had to reset the GFR in the bathroom just to charge a phone. My husband uses oxygen. There was no place to plug in except the bathroom!! Totally unacceptable. There are dirty towels outside in the common areas, garbage everywhere, open garbage cans with flys everywhere. Be advised, there are no Handicapped Accessible rooms or features here. You must be able to drag everything upstairs. No exception. They had a luggage cart, but I couldn't get it up the stairs. The pool is not heated and water was sketchy. Hot tub was filthy and being used as pool since it was heated. I was told the owner would be by to discuss the abnormalities and non-functioning utilities. That never happened. That proves they have no concern for their guests. No boat docks for Jerry's to pick you up! Very disappointed.

Stay was as expected however office staff is hard to reach. I still do not have receipt for my stay. No one answers the phone and they do not respond to emails. I attempted to call the local phone number several times. It rings and rings and then reports it is not available. The web link to email works until you try to send and it reports technical difficultly try again. I have try each day for 5 days. I need a receipt!!!!

This was a great place to stay! The price was good, the location was great, and the view was amazing! The staff was nice. One staff member gave me some ideas for sightseeing nearby, which was very helpful. The lower floor needed some repairs and paing, but we stayed on the third floor. The view of the river was wonderful. We were able to check in early which really helped with the event we were supposed to attend. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
