First time we have gone to Cape Verde and to a Riu hotel. We had a fantastic time. I specifically call out the amenities, room, people and food as being the highlights of the trip! Positive feedback: - Staff were welcoming and very attentive, especially behind the bars. You were waiting no longer for a minute to be served - Entertainment team were fantastic and I enjoyed the evening performances and games - Food was amazing. So much choice and so fresh. Best all inclusive I have been to. - Swimming pools were spacious and I enjoyed spending time drinking with the drink tables in the pool - Beach was so empty, it was like having your own private beach due to the location and that there is only one hotel on the whole south coast m. Sea was warmer than I expected too - Cleaners did a good job in the room and around the hotel - Had no issues with sunbeds and that was around 10am each day - Resort is very big and even had a dedicated children's area with pool. - Good gym facilities - Nobody is coming round and trying to sell you stuff. If you want a massage then you go to the on site spa. That lives up to its motto of ”No stress” Only two pieces of constructive feedback: - Not sure if was isolated to our room, but after each toilet flush, we got an odour that smelt like beach sewage but putting the toilet pan down afterwards was fine. - Restaurants that you book in advance have great food but I think it should have been a la carte

First time visiting the RIU karamboa and what a experience it was. From checking in to leaveing the staff have been nothing but friendly, the cleaners, receptionists, bar staff, entertainers etc..... All very polite, happy going people. The food is amazing, such a variety aswell. Food I've never had and it was spot on. The pool bar staff are the most entertaining people you will ever meet, bar opens at 10:30am and from opening to close they are always smiling, laughing and singing to the music, they just make you feel so welcome. The hotel it self is 5* rated and we've had a 5*service throughout, amazing 10 days we've had and will definitely be returning when the new refurb has happened. Obrigada :)
