Great hotel, there is no pharmacy inside the hotel or in the surrounding area, bring a first aid kit and Doliprane.
There are plenty of activities on offer at the hotel and on the beach, a real all-in, but nothing around.
The hotel is magnificent, the service is impeccable, the cleanliness, nothing to complain about
The city is 30 minutes by car.

Large resort in an isolated position (35 km from the town of Sal Rei) but on a long, white beach. Three swimming pools and free sunbeds also on the beach with the shade of palm trees. Lots of people but just try to avoid the busiest times for lunch and dinner (the food is of medium quality, especially suitable for Nordic customers). Excellent cleanliness and friendliness of the staff.

First class hotel!, first time we have been here and was very impressed. Staff are very courteous and polite.clean rooms too, as for the food their is a great selection to choose from every day. Entertainment is quite repetitive. Sunset beach dinner was fab with afican dancing included, we did the turtle watch and was lucky to have 5 turtles come up the beach and lay eggs ( including a rare green one). Only downside is you have a 50 min drive cross country in back of a 4x4 which at times gets uncomfortable!, The starlight meal is a must! , pitch black in the desert laying down on a towel looking at the stars and milky way . Buffet meal and music all included. Excursion for the market and local sights are an eye opener ! Still good fun to walk round the town . Cape verdi has a lot to offer and love tourists, would we go again?. Yes for sure!

My partner and I go every year this was the ninth time we’ve been, we have booked for next year with my family, cannot fault this hotel and the staff are amazing. Always happy and nothing is a problem for them. Always have an excellent stay. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

L'accueil très réactif ( panne télé ). Personnel restaurant accueillant , souriant . Animateurs Fram moyen et pour ainsi dire jamais vu , par contre animateurs Riu au top .

I have been to plenty of all inclusive and give fair ratings. I am one week in and feel I can give my verdict now. I agree this is not a 5 star. It’s not the best all inclusive but it’s decent. All staff I have encountered have been great. Room cleaned daily and is spacious. Loads of Sunbeds but up very early for good spots. Loads of pools and daytime activities Beach is beautiful but avoid water. Nice beach other side of island which is calm. No issues with the food. Loads of choice. Mexican lunch in the main hall is my favourite. You can book the restaurants as many times as you like. Just go in the app daily at 10 to book 3 days in advance. Italian and Chinese are ones worth visiting. Entertainment is ok but have been in bed by 2130 Most nights so not really experienced it. Nothing for kids/teenagers in the evening. Done 1 trip so far which is the evening beach meal and African dancing which we all really enjoyed. Got beach day/ snorkelling tomorrow then turtles in the evening after. Nothing anywhere near the hotel. Would I return…No. But I have enjoyed the stay.

Outdated hotel room no water for a shower / no hot water, toilet stopped working no water to flush, swimming pools tired tiles missing, smell of drains constantly around the pool, the list is endless I have stopped in better 3 star hotels than this so called 5 star riu touareg Cape Verde avoid this hotel WORST HOTEL WE HAVE STOPPED IN !!
