Our choice for an overnight stay whilst visiting the nearby Lanternhouse theatre. It was cheap, cheerful and everything was just fine. Just put more coffee, tea and milk in the room please - it's such an inconvenience to have go all the way back downstairs to get a sachet of coffee. Thank you

myself & my girlfriend paid £45 for a double room the night after Valentine’s. we got Room 205. we noticed just after checking in that the carpets were needing a quick runaround with a hoover on the stairs and hallways. the hotel does seem to be in dire need of a refurbishment also. our room was fine for the price. we did have some paint peeling off the walls and the television remote was taped together but was overall okay. the shower head was extremely clean - don’t know if this had just been replaced for a new one. I sleep with a medium-firm mattress at home but felt the mattress in the room was too hard/uncomfortable. I didn’t have a great sleep but my girlfriend did. we woke up to the cleaner blaring music outside our room which I thought was extremely unprofessional (you could have consideration and wear earphones if you wish to listen to music whilst on shift). there are many takeaways surrounding the hotel - Greggs, Subway, Domino’s, Burger King, Taco Bell etc. overall, wouldn’t return as we don’t like Cumbernauld as an area itself & don’t like being woken up to music if we are trying to have some form of a lie-in.

The bed was comfy, the room was quiet and the breakfast was class. However, check-in took forever, and the receptionist made an awkward, inappropriate assumption about myself and my mother which caused us to feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. Later that evening, it took 20 minutes for another receptionist to book us in for breakfast the following day. Finally, there was a long (approx 6 inches) black hair in the bath which was pretty gross. Dont think I'd stay here again, despite the reasonable price.

Had a great experience in my stay here. Staff were very friendly and polite. I stay in premier inns often and the restaurant had good options compared to the old beefeater and the food tasted amazing! The staff explained the allergy awareness very well. My room was very clean and I very much enjoyed my stay! I’ll be back

The service from the staff was great. Even though the kitchen had been closed throughout my stay for dinner time, the service which was provided at breakfast was second to none. The hotel staff throughout the my stay couldn’t have been more helpful which was fantastic.

The hotel was up to normal standards. The restaurant was appalling. No staff to speak of, and a Chef with a bad attitude

Whilst the hotel staff are polite and accommodating, the pub next door are detrimental. I have been to this hotel twice on business and the same experience occurred on both occasions. The bar is never manned. You stand around and when finally patience is exhausted, you shout "hello" and someone comes out from the back. No apology for keeping you waiting which I find very unprofessional. On the last occasion, again after shouting for service, I also asked to order some food, two starters. I was in the bar area and showed the server where I was sitting. He said this was fine. 40 minutes later and with no food in sight, I went back to the bar, again had to shout for some attention and a very surly young lady came out...again no apologies for keeping me waiting. I asked for a drink and also to check on the progress of my food. I was told, and I quote, " we don't serve bar food". I said that maybe the guy I'd paid could have told me that and her response was, "we've never served bar food" and she just shrugged at me. She then left her station, I hadn't even paid for my drink and walked off with no explanation. I turned to the people behind me with disbelief and one of them pointed out that the card terminal was asking for my payment. I literally could have walked off with a free pint! The surly attitude laden lady returned with two bowls of food and said "is this it?" It certainly was. She took them to my table and literally tossed them on the table and walked off. At this point I'm now thinking this must be a bad joke as there was no cutlery and she had once again scuttled off to the back. So I got up, retrieved my own cutlery from the restaurant and then ate a portion of stone cold food. After a long drive, this is not the service I would have expected and I have now recommended to my company that we no longer use this site for our staff. It is also worth noting that the Premier Wifi is neither use nor ornament and I ended up tethering to my phone despite the £5 I'd paid for the premium service.
