Mayumi

The hotel’s decor is very unique, creating a cozy community feel with lots of greenery and relaxing spaces. In the evening, there’s even a fire pit where guests can unwind. The breakfast is also quite good — although there are no hot dishes, the quality of the offerings is better than what you usually find at standard hotels. The only downside was that we were woken up in the middle of the night by a call from the front desk, saying they heard footsteps from our room. However, we had already been asleep, and it turned out the noise was actually coming from another room.

I stayed here for a week to attend a course. The rooms are small but efficient, squeaky clean. For one person, this is a perfect set-up. My only issue was that my first room was on the ground floor and cars leaving the parking lot from across the street would flash their headlights directly into my room. The blackout curtain, operated via a futuristic control panel, could not black out everything. My sleep wasn't great--coupled with the fact that the window was on the street level without any fence probably affected my subconscious mind. Victor was very considerate of my pea princess-ness and immediately switched me to a room upstairs, away from the street lights. He was personable and patient. Kane from the front desk was also a great person to chat and ask for local recommendations. The wonderful staff members eased my loneliness, away from home. Breakfast pastries, fruit options, and coffee were delightful too. With the available fridge inside the room, I was able to keep simple groceries during my stay to eat somewhat healthy. Paradiso CF is right there and I paid 25 bucks to get a workout in. Overall, it's great value, and the friendly staff members added that human touch.

Always love staying here! Very helpful staff, lovely outdoor patio, small but very comfortable rooms, lovely amenities (breakfast, water, coffee and tea).

The Mayumi is a great option for solo travelers who just need a clean room and appreciate clean lines and attention to detail. Much better than staying at a corporate hotel! The staff is friendly and helpful. I stayed on a first floor room and found it a bit noisier than a second floor room (that I had stayed at previously). If quiet is important to you, do what all seasoned travelers do: pack earplugs.
