Welcome to the Peacefield! This retreat is nestled in the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the shadow of Old Rag, overlooking Hazel River Farm (160 acres). The spacious estate is perfect for escaping the city. There are many options for relaxing with a deck, hot tub, pool (summer only), home theater, and an open kitchen connecting the dining and family rooms. The beauty of the estate includes walking trails, glimpses of sheep, and local art (watercolor and photography). The space The home is located 7.5 miles outside Culpeper, 10 miles outside Sperryville, 45miles from Dulles Airport, and 64 miles from Washington DC. Enjoy local art galleries, quaint shops, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and eateries. During the warmer months, farm stands are located along route 522 with fresh produce. The Shenandoah National Park is just 18 miles away with abundant hiking trails. We own and operate Hazel River Farm located next to the property. We truly enjoy working with the land and and our animals. If you would like a tour of the farm, do not hesitate to reach out. Guest access Guests have full access to the space. Other things to note In addition to the home theater, there is a pool table, ping pong, foosball, and board games. There is a whole house generator in case of a power outage. Great space for our family We come up to Virginia every year from Florida to visit family in the Fall. This place was great! Centrally located, beautiful views, and the house was very well suited for our family of six. Barbara was very responsive with any questions that I had. And, my husband and I had the pleasure of enjoying the hot tub one early morning to watch the sunrise over the mountains. On our way out one day we had the pleasure of meeting her husband, and he turned us on to some trails that wrapped around their sheep farm. We were able to walk with the kids down to the river and have lunch. All in all, it was a great stay and I would definitely stay there again.

Great house! We spent a week at Peacefield as a central meeting place for a family vacation. The house was great—very clean, spacious, and comfortable with lots of things to do. We had fun playing ping pong and watching movies together in the theater room. We especially enjoyed taking a break from the summer heat by cooling off in the pool, then relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings while watching the sunset. We spent some time hiking in Shenandoah National Park, walking/running in the parks in Culpeper, and eating some yummy local food (our favorite restaurants were Off the Grid near Sperryville and Uncle Elder’s BBQ in Culpeper). The owners were quick to respond to all our communications. We would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely perfect This property was absolutely perfect for the extended girls' weekend celebrating my youngest turning 21. There is so much to do within the home (pool, hot tub, pool table, ping pong, mountain views, fire pit) we really never needed to leave except to pick up a few guests flying in. The home was exceptionally clean and very well maintained and the owner's were very quick to respond to any questiins we had. We would definitely book this gorgeous home again.
