Campanile Lille Sud - Douai Cuincy

We went as a group of cyclists and stayed for a week. The breakfasts were very good and the evening meal (not served every day) was also good. There was a bar and a seating area both inside and outside on the patio which worked well for a group. The coffee machine was always on. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was in walking distance of a couple of supermarkets. We went into Douai for a couple of evening meals. The rooms are dated, but the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. Our room was very dark which made it difficult to dry anything (needed to wash cycling kit). I think the hotel was really set up for short stays but it worked very well for our group.

What can I say about NATALIE and her team? They have been amazing whilst their hotel is slightly dated the very warm reception. Attention to detail level of service and general ambience. Make this a great place to stay. A group of 14 of us came for a cycling holiday and all of us have nothing but praise for the team at this Little hotel in this lovely small French town. Whether you are looking for a place for a night or two or for a week then as long as you accept that the hotel needs a little updating then you will have a great stay. The team will help find restaurants activities and give you as much support as they possibly can. I think testament to their team spirit is the fact that Natalie the manager S has been here 30 years and many of her team have been here fornearly all all part of that with her. Certainly, if I’m back in this area again, it’ll be top of my list. Thank you to all of them.
