BEWARE, SCAMMER!! Terrible experience with Ecoverde tours. Me and my wife arranged a tour with Joel Rodrigues De Souza, well in advance, a few months before at least. He always proved to be a reliable, close person, he even called our number often to find out how we were and to talk a little about our country. Take advantage of your image, I'm talking about a senile person, with good intentions and who looks seemingly harmless, but the truth will surprise you. We agreed on a fixed price for the tour of 3 nights and 4 days, which included the 3 meals of the day (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and activities such as boat sailing, night out in a caged car, walk through the forest, fishing of piranha and a horseback ride. We had to pay a guarantee at the time of agreeing on the price and itinerary so that Joel could make some reservations. All Ok, we paid the guarantee and he told us that everything was ready. That left us quite calm (approximately 2 months before the trip). The day finally came, we arrived at the Cuiabá airport and Maranhao was waiting for us, something like Joel's right hand. He tells us that Joel is in the van waiting for us so we grab our luggage and head over there. Upon arrival, we got into a very shabby truck, without a mirror, without seat belts, with an engine problem that did not allow it to accelerate more than 40 km/h, it was a piece of metal that literally fell apart when we drove. Finally, we greet Joel and start the route. He explains to us that the tour would start that same day, when we had long in advance and even reminded him weeks and days before, we had agreed that the first day he would give us one night in his pousada to rest and the next day we would start the tour. None of that, he told us that the tour began at that very moment and that our guide would be Maranhao. Without much option to change the itinerary, we nodded and began the trip. We left Joel in his pousada, the place where he lives with his wife, very badly brought, a very dirty place, full of dust, spider webs and the smell of urine in every corner of the house, it was a seedy dump. Clearly we would not have been able to stay in that place. Due to the type of vehicle we were in, it took us about 8 hours (including breaks to go to a supermarket to shop, buy gas, go to Maranhao's house so he could pack his luggage, have lunch, bone...nothing organized, zero) to reach destination. In the middle of the way we stopped for lunch and we were surprised that we had to pay for lunch since Joel had not left money to Maranhao, when lunches were included in what we had paid, BAD!! When we arrived at the destination we realized that it was not as described in the tourist program. It was a medium 3 story boat, rusty from top to bottom, dirty. They showed us the room
