Petram Resort & Residences

We had a great stay at Petram. The facilities, the private beach, the staff it all matches and exceeded our expectations. It is recommended for families, couples, friends or single anybody will enjoy the many possibilitied Petram has to offer

Since we really liked it, we extended our stay for another night. We didn’t have breakfast, so I can’t say what it’s like. I tried the massage, and it was excellent. The saunas are spacious and work exactly as they should.

We hired a car and travelled to a few places in Istria and we spent 2 nights at Petram Resorts. We expected a hotel with 5 star quality and standards and that is what we got. The main hotel building has villas built around it; the villas are different sizes and specifications, but look very nice and the whole site has been finished with very nice planting. We had a 2 bedroom apartment in the hotel building and it was spacious, comfortable, very nicely done. The main building is actually comprised of 3 quite large buildings, which are all connected on the 4th floor (top floor) where the large infinity pool, the gym, the restaurant, and the spa are all located. We thought the design was really nice and the materials and the finish all seemed to be a good standard. We thought the rooftop was amazing: plenty of loungers when we were there, the long infinity pool is lovely, and there is an inside pool area, too. The restaurant at one end of the rooftop has outdoor and indoor tables, lounge seating outside the restaurant with shade if you want it. There is a well stocked bar here in the restaurant and, during the day, there is a small swim-up bar at the poolside, too. We didn’t use the spa, but used the gym, which was really good: a good size, plenty of good quality equipment, and great views. The breakfast in the rooftop restaurant was very good: decent coffee, teas and juices, bread, pastries, sweet dessert things, fruit, nuts, cereal, and also hot options like sausage, egg, etc. We had an evening meal in the rooftop restaurant and it was excellent: good food, good drinks, and lovely service. The offer was similar to many other restaurants around Istria: pasta with truffles, pasta and seafood, risotto, steak and other meats, some salads. Down at the ground floor level, there is another lovely outside pool, which is ideal for children to play in and has some entertainment for children a couple of times a day. There is also a bar (and snack bar) here. We forgot to use the tennis or padel courts. The beach area has been nicely done, but was not the nicest place to swim from, compared to other beaches in Istria, as the rocks are difficult to avoid. The resort welcomes customers with dogs; I don’t mind dogs would prefer them not to be around the food areas at breakfast time.

We were very satisfied with our staying here. We had a villa and it was amazing. The beach was a little bit far from the hotel (about 300m), but it was fine to walk there. If you need, you can go there by hotel's car. It is comfortable.
