Stayed in the upper Villas. For the price $100 a night it was awesome for off season. Large King Bed, nice kitchen and living area. Shower was not what it was advertised. It is a tub-shower. Not a separate shower and tub. Staff was friendly. They’d get a 5 stars except for two issues.Checked in at the Airport! Awesome! But apparently the airport office and the main check in don’t communicate. We were told No Maid service for our 5 day trip. No problem. Came back one afternoon and a Maid was in our room. Later that day we discovered something we left on the table was gone. I was also double charged in my credit card. Then was told the holds would drop off. What. My card paid both. Today I did receive my second charge back. All’s good. Having a washer and dryer is a plus.

Beautiful resort. I love that the beach is walking distance from your room. The rooms depending on where you booth can be quite a walk. They offer "shuttles" which are golf cars that take you to and from the beach, lobby, or restaurant and back to the building that you will be staying in. Pro: Beautiful resort, close to the beach. Con: 1.There are phones at each building where you can call for a "shuttle" to pick you up to take you to where you would like to go on the property. 3/10 times the shuttle will never come so you better be ready to walk long distances. 2. The island lost power every night. Also the time of the power being out was short. but there aren't any back up light. The entire resort is blacked out when the power goes out. 3. The restaurant (Snorkels) on the resort sucks for dinner. We choose to dine here for two nights as there is no other place on the resort to dine except for snorkels 7 days a week. The Waitress was on island time. Our drinks were empty for most of the time we sat at the table. After waiting for over an hr for my seafood pasta it came out cold. I recommend if you must eat from here you order you food to go that way you aren't wasting time waiting on cold food. At least in you room you can warm it up. Also I recommend try out the local restaurants in the area. The service and food is much better once you get off the resort 4. We arrive to the resort at 2pm and we were told that there was no early check in but they promised that our room will be ready by 4pm. They told us we would received a text message when our rooms were ready. That text never came. Well we went to eat lunch at snorkels and after 5pm our room was still not ready! After a long day of traveling to the island you want to get into your room, shower or at least change into you bathing suit so you can hi the beach. By the time we got into our room it was 6pm and already dark outside! 5. After our rooms were finally ready after 6pm, 2 hours past check in time! we went to check the beds and there was a blood stain on the sheets. We had to call house keeping our was only willing to delivery sheets but not make the beds. After speaking to management house keeping came to change the sheets but only wanted to replace the sheet that had the blood stain. All in all the resort is beautiful and great location. The customer service and cleanliness needs some help.

Terrible experience, rude staff, no warm welcome as an owner, Nothing was provided upon check in. We had to ask for it. Inconsistent information provided, room was not ready by guaranteed check in time, Many updates are needed. Worst resort and we have stayed at many in and outside of the US.

Great place to stay! Our group was made up of 3 couples, so we stayed in the 3 bedroom villa. Very comfy. We had everything that we needed (although we had to ask twice for extra coffee filters---check when you get in the room. We had 4 for the entire week!) The Westin is in a good location. Snorkels Restaurant had good food and a nice view on the water. There were ample golf carts running all the time all over the resort. It was quite a walk from our villa to our rented car in the parking lot, but we could easily get a golf cart ride if we wanted. The pool was nice. It is off season now, but I can imagine it can get really busy other times. It was great to have Night Kayaking and a Sunset Sail catamaran right there on the property. It was also nice to have a store onsite to be able to rent chairs, umbrellas, snorkels, etc to take to some of the other beaches.

The resort is simply beautiful. The views are spectacular. The service has improved since our visit last year where we finally got our room at 7:00 pm when promised at 4:00. This year our room was ready when we arrived at 3:30. Thank you Westin. Cons: had to request $ times for outdoor furniture pads. On day 5, we finally got them. Pros: taxi service always available during operating hours, rented a car on the resort at OConnor car rental. No hidden fees and able to return downtown before taking InterIsland ferry ( which USA highly recommended and drops off at Crown Bay which is a 5 minute ride to airport instead of 30 plus minutes from Red Hook) Food at Snorkles on property has a menu for everyone. Drinks are great, especially frozen Mudslide. Pool nice way to end a day on a variety of beaches throughout the island. Staff very friendly and staff driven golf carts are abundant for traveling around the resort, please remember to tip if you opt to ride. Chickens, iguanas and neutered feral cats cohabitate. Remember, don’t feed the wild life. An occasional small nurse shark may swim past in the shallow end of the beach. Plenty if chairs, umbrellas and toys for the taking to use. Highly recommend night kayaking. Loads of fun two guide accompany the 2 person clear kayaks. Love the Westin and can’t wait to return next year using our Coral Bay time share.

The resort is pretty nice. It could def use some updating. The rooms are comfortable. We had a 2 bedroom and a 1 bedroom lockoff. The beds are comfortable as I would expect at a Westin. The staff at the front desk could use a little training on how to be a little kinder and more welcoming. The rest of the staff was great, very friendly, helpful etc. The Lemon Grass restaurant onsite is just "ok" There is a lot to do on property here. If you come here and are bored, maybe it is because you are boring :)

Property is nice enough the staff on the other hand is an unmigated dumpster fire. We had 2 separate staff members walts into our room with employee keys, one claimed to be replacing our vaccum which made no sense and the other said she was called to and entered the wrong room on accident... Don't even bother calling for a gulf cart from the taxi stand it won't come, we tried twice and waited half an hour each. One of the two girls at the front desk is extremely nice but the other one talks to you like you owe her money. If you book the westin ferry on your return trip they ask for you to leave luggage outside of your room door to be picked up 90 minutes prior to ferry departure, except our luggage was never picked up. We called front desk 30 minutes prior to departure and they said they will send someone to pick up immediately, to the surpirse of no one that was yet another false statement. When I confronted the ferry manager he said my room number wasn't on the list. The incompetence is so profound I'm not even sure where to allocate the blame, might just be a single digit IQ all around type of situation. Save yourself the headaches and stay at another resort.

My husband and I are just returning from our stay at the Westin St. John, and it was superior. First to know is that we were there during Tropical Storm Ernesto. Ernesto was right the heels of Hurricane Debby. In a bit of excellent research, my husband found out that first responders, i.e. fire, police, ambulance, etc., stay at the Westin St. John during weather events. Seemed to us, that it was the safest place to be, so we were on our way! THE FERRY To arrive at Westin St. John, you fly into the St. Thomas airport (STT), then take a ferry to St. John. After hours of research, I decided we would take the Westin’s ferry instead of the public ferry. The Westin ferry is $130 each, so I needed to know what kind of value I was getting. The Westin ferry includes: • Room check-in at the Westin desk at the airport. • Bag drop off at the Westin desk at the airport, with direct drop off to your room. • Ground transportation from STT to the Red Hook Ferry Terminal on St. Thomas. • The ferry ride from Red Hook to the dock on the Westin property, where you are greeted with Rum punch and offered a golf cart ride to your room. • Plus, the same service back to the airport at the conclusion of your stay. • Additionally, you can take the Westin Ferry back and forth to St. Thomas as many times as you like for shopping, dining, etc. In my calculations, the public ferry would cost: • Lugging your luggage during the following: o $28 taxi ride ($23 plus tip) from STT to Red Hook. o $6 ferry ride to the St. John Cruz Bay dock (not the Westin dock). o $10 taxi ride ($7 plus tip) from the Cruz Bay dock to the Westin St. John. o $10 to buy your own Rum punch. o Checking in at the Westin St. John front desk. • And doing the same thing back (except for maybe the Rum punch). • Total cost is $98, not including ferry rides between St. John and St. Thomas during your stay. Although this not an exact apples-to-apples comparison, I felt the Westin Ferry was an excellent value. OUR ROOM This was our 30th anniversary trip. Because our trip was 12 days, rather than our normal 7, we booked a studio instead of our usual 1 bedroom. We were located in building 15 (part of the Sunset Bay section) with excellent proximity to the pool. I always bring a beach bag, so that I don’t need to go back and forth to the room. However, for this trip, we were so close that my beach bag was not used once, as it was literally 30 steps from our patio door to the pool. And although we did not have a view of the bay, this location more than made up for it. The studio was absolutely lovely and clean, clean, clean. I mean not one grain of sand clean. I mean cleaner that 5-star hotels we’ve stayed at. You know the ultimate test? It’s when you drop your phone behind the night stand and you cringe thinking of reaching back there to get it. At the Westin St. John, it was clean even behind the night stand! Of course, being a Westin, you expect the Westin Bed. The Westin Be

So my son helped me create a wonderful review, but the internet shut down at the time, so that review is no longer. So, basically, it is a nice hotel, even though more expensive than more luxurious hotels in the Bahamas, which is not even USA territory. The cockroaches was the issue.
