What an absolutely beautiful b&b, it is faultless. Spotlessly clean, bedding and towels had a beautiful clean scent like fresh laundry powder. The bed and pillows were so comfortable, it was like sleeping on a cloud. Colum was an incredible host, providing us with everything we needed such as an iron and ironing board, gluten free alternatives for breakfast. The breakfast being delivered in a beautiful wicker basket was a lovely touch. Great location of driving, we easily visited Belfast, Lisburn and drove up North to Giants Causeway plus a few more spots of exploring. I would highly recommend, if you want a gorgeous old stone building, quiet, peaceful location and a very warm Irish welcome this is the place to stay! Thank you so much.

Where to begin.......my son & I stayed for 3 nights in the self catering lodge. The lodge is so tastefully furnished & decorated, & absolutely immaculate. We made a mistake in thinking there was a bedroom & a sofa bed & when we realised we were wrong, my son said he'd be happy sleeping on the sofa. Colum, the owner, (not sure I've spelt his name correctly) was not happy and when we returned to the lodge after going out, there was a fully dressed single bed waiting - Colum had gone above & beyond to ensure our comfort, even though the mistake was not his. The surrounding countryside is beautiful - I kept my window open & listed to the birds - so relaxing. Breakfast is brought fresh every morning. Wheaten bread is lovely. Colum is always ready with help & advice. What is the best you can say about somewhere? I want to go back. I would love to go back just to be there.

We stayed for 4 nights. Colum was our Host ( sorry we didn't get to meet your partner Elaine ). A lot of work, effort and skill has gone into converting these old animal sheds and they are beautiful. The finish is outstanding and the bathroom out of a magazine. Continental breakfast arrives in a basket, at whatever time you want, it is good quality ingredients and a lovely selection of breads etc fresh orange juice and milk. Colum could not have done more for us anything we needed was provided. This accommodation surpasses some of the best hotels we have stayed at. Parking in the courtyard. We had dinner at a nearby hotel called The Ballymac and it was lovely. Hopefully we will return in the future and we will be happy to do so and to recommend this wonderful place, thank you.

The property is so beautifully quaint, incredibly well cleaned and cared for. It is very obvious how much work Colum & Elaine have and do put in too it. They go above and beyond for guests. Breakfast is amazing, the views are lovely: We couldn't have asked for a nicer stay. Colum makes sure you have what you need in terms of travel advice etc- very welcoming- we will most definitely be staying again and strongly advise others to do so. It is worth the little travel from the center to be in such a lovely location. We were very impressed and sad to leave so soon. Thank you both!! This couple deserves to be raved about as they have done majority of the conversion and truly care about the place, you can tell that hard work and a lot of passion has gone into the place. Well done to you both. :) Laura and Ciaran.

The lodge was clean and nicely decorated. It looked newly renovated. The owner was friendly and gave us an idea of what restaurants were nearby and delivered our breakfast each morning. There was water in the fridge upon arrival, which was a nice surprise. The towels and bedding smelt amazing. The lodge was a great base to explore Northern Ireland and was only an hour away from the Giant’s causeway and some beautiful waterfalls. I would reccommend seeing Glenarrif and Gleno waterfalls and The Tollymore forest park stepping stones. Unfortunately the bed was rock hard and lumpy, so I got next to no sleep during our stay. The day bed was also lumpy too. This needs to be changed asap, as it has to be the worst bed i’ve ever slept in. Nobody came in to clean the room During our 4 day stay. So sand and mud was on the floor and there were no cleaning supplies for us to do it. I found this very poor. There were also never enough glasses or plates, if the children wanted something to eat or drink of an evening, as you only got them in the morning and had to leave them in the basket. We had to ask for more toilet roll, as only two rolls were provided for a family with young children? We. Were kindly provided clean towels on the 3rd day. The wifi was non existent, which was very disappointing. The fridge was so noisy and kept me awake all night. This coupled with the hard bed, completely ruined our stay here. I would recommend a stay here if you don’t mind a firm mattress but I think there are a few improvements to be made. Thank you for our stay.

I stayed at Millbrae Lodges for 2 nights. Absolutely fantastic, cleanest room and en-suite I have ever seen. Immaculate, pretty much all brand new. Shower was great, bed was really comfortable, TV on the wall. Unlimited tea and coffee available using a rapid heating kettle that pours the water to the exact measure of the cup/mug. Collum delivered a great continental breakfast in a picnic basket, plenty to eat. Chatting with Collum the owner, said the restoration was a labour of love, well I can tell you it looks like it was well worth the effort and hard work over the years. The surroundings are picturesque, massive courtyard with plenty of space for parking. Will definitely stay there again when back in Belfast. Highly recommend this amazing lodge.
