I am a Diamond Hilton member and stay almost exclusively at Hilton properties when I travel. This was one of the worst Hampton’s in which I have ever stayed. I thought I would stay here as it was a relatively new property as I usually stay in Merrillville at the Hilton Garden Inn but it was not available. I use Hilton because I know I will consistently experience an above average stay. I count a few things as important at an overnight hotel. A comfortable bed/pillow, a nice shower and a quiet night sleep. Everything else is secondary. Unfortunately Hilton let me down on the quiet night sleep. After being asleep for about an hour I was awakened by a repetitive knocking/ banging noise which was coming from the wall between the sleeping room and the bathroom. I recognized the sound as likely water hammer (plumbing pipes hitting each other or the wall due to improper installation and high demand; I hear it when my washer is going at my home sometimes). This noise continued throughout the night intermittently, continuing to interrupt my sleep. I discussed the issue with the front desk and even provided a recording of the knocking. The front desk did apologize and offered “compensation points” for my inconvenience ( which they have not awarded me at the time of this review.) other than that nothing. There were other annoyances about this hotel but nothing that is really worth mentioning. Needless to say, I won’t stay there again and would recommend traveling up the road a little to stay at a more restful/ week built and quiet Hotel.
