The pub and food down stairs was very good, however the accommodation was awful, no heating in the room, we was supplied a electric oil rad which was totally inadequate, the bedroom was dirty along with the bathroom, there was flies constantly in the room and dead ones on the bed when you woke up in the morning. The bathroom was all mouldy and there was dark long hair all stuck on the wall in in the shower the light fitting was full of dead flies just a very bad experience in general regarding the overnight accommodation. I would say that the owners have only recently taken over the business and the pub and food was very good, but the rooms should not be let out until some drastic changes have been made to them.

Lovely village pub with a great atmosphere. Very friendly, efficient service and our meal was delicious. Generous portions and good value! Highly recommend the winter ploughman’s. We had a great evening and will definitely go there again.

Rooms need upgrading Both rooms we were going to stay in before we decided to leave were in a poor state of repair. Both rooms were damp with black mould. We understand it’s a very old property, however as I am Asthmatic I felt I couldn’t stay the night. The rooms just need some upgrade from the owner.

Best term is "rustic". Comfy bed, but very low ceilings, not good accessibility and loud plumbing. Breakfast was great, but the fact the didn't serve food Monday nights would have been good to know in advance.

Comfortable old pub in quiet location A historic and picturesque pub and my room no.4 was spacious with an en-suite bathroom featuring a bath and shower. On a quiet street in the village with a large garden. I reported the hit tap in the wash basin was loose and 2 of 3 bulbs in the central light weren't working (I'm sure this will have been rectified quickly).

Excellent real ale country pub with rooms Lovely real ale country pub with rooms. Very rustic but with all home comforts and little extras. Great view over countryside with cows grazing nearby. Breakfast freshly cooked and generous portions. Used as overnight stay following wedding at Crowcombe court (5 mins walk) but also great for walkers etc exploring the Exmoor area. Highly recommend
