This is a budget motel. Do not book through a 3rd part site such as ******* or Reservations.com because if your plans change and you need to check out early, they will not refund you and you end up paying for the entire stay. Pool was closed and the water was black. Motel needs maintenance. Paint was peeling off the wall in the room I stayed in. They said on one website they have hair dryers and do not. Towels and linens were dingy, old and worn out and really need to be replaced.

Truely the worst room I've even had the displeasure of staying in. Avoid the "party room" at all costs. There were crusty spots all over the carpet, the room stank the air conditioner (window unit) was on its last leg. How this place has 4 stars is beyond me. It's wretched.

Worst Motel I’ve ever been to! Carpet is very gross with stains all over it. All furniture, sheets pillows in room had stains all over them. It was a non smoking room. Smelt just like smoke, toilet had tape over the lid like they cleaned it. Took tape off toilet and opened up. Pee, ashes and cigarette butt were in toilet bowl. A/C window unit smelt disgusting. I canceled my room and owner will not give my money back. Do not stay here!!!

It didn't look good when we drove up - kids playing in the parking lot, the whole place looking a little run down, pool covered with a tarp. When we checked in the sign said "no smoking" yet the office reeked of smoke. There seemed to be some difficulty in finding a clean room and we were told to "check everything and let us know within 15 minutes if anything is wrong". Our room was disgusting - stained sheets, paint peeling off the walls, no idea if the towels were clean or not as they were threadbare. We turned right round and went back to the office - we we offered the chance to look at another room but we declined saying that the place "did not meet our standards of cleanliness". The staff were cordial and agreed to a refund which had to be arranged through ******* as we had prepaid - after a quick text chat with ******* customer service a full refund was confirmed. This might have been a nice place once but it's now very tired and sad. Fortunately the Putnam Lodge had rooms available which, while old, was clean.

I travel a lot...I've stayed in some questionable motels when nothing else available but this one takes the cake. Disgusting pillows...I found one of the four that was passable to lay my head on...the one bed sheet looked fairly new so that's how I slept...with my clothes on. No remote for the TV, no soap for a shower and the shower itself was so old I couldn't even tell if it was clean, horrid carpet...the walls and door filthy. I was on a motorcycle otherwise I would have slept in my car had I been driving that despite the characters hanging out on the walkways. I booked two nights but left 7:00 AM after one-night, the office was closed so I could not ask for a refund of the second night in person...but it didn't matter...there was NO WAY I would stay a second night even if it was free. The young lady that checked me in was very sweet but obviously overworked...I had to wait a few minutes at the desk because she was out **** eating the grounds so she deserves a big gold star for her work ethic. The restaurant next door had reasonably priced breakfast and pleasant servers...so stop there but do yourself a favor...keep driving or sleep in your car before staying at the hotel.

My wife and I rode our MC up to Cross City for a weekend adventure and were very fortunate to stay at the Carriage Inn. It was VERY clean kinda old fashioned but very cool they had a nice pool also very clean and Britney went out of her way to help us we will certainly stay there again. And make sure that you eat at their restaurant as the food is fantastic one of the best chezburgers I've ever had and the buffet is killer. Great Stay jt
