We were one couple amongst 6 couples and all of us were very impressed by the standard of our spacious rooms and the care all the staff took. The food was of a good standard and very good value. Deservedly busy in the bar and restaurant but all ran well with minimal queuing. Even laid a table in the bar for us and another couple to have breakfast with our dogs. Big car park and well positioned to visit the lakes and the dales only a few minutes off the M6.

Went for lunch, I had the steak, ale and mushroom pie, which came with chips. I am not at lover of chips and normally have fries, the chips were excellent. My wife had the small roast which came with turkey and beef, not sure what was small about it, there was plenty of it. The pint of draught Brown Ale was an excellent accompaniment.

Fantastic location just outside Kendal, perfect position to explore the Lakes and come back to for a very comfortable stay, great choice of food & drink and attentive staff. Very pleasurable stay and great hearty breakfasts to start the day

We stayed in the Crooklands Hotel for one night while sightseeing in the Dales & Lake District. The Hotel was spacious, bright and welcoming, and the Staff were all very helpful. Our Room was really comfortable, and the Dinner and Breakfast were both delicious. Overall, a lovely place to stay when in the area.

To be honest there’s nothing at all to pick out any faults at all everyone was so friendly polite room was absolutely gorgeous I did enjoy the 12/10/24 when the generator broke down ended up having a candle lit drinks would say dinner by we had finished our meal before it happened 😂 also two of the bar staff told me a lot about the history of the hotel which I was really pleased to hear breakfast was nice my meals were nice also great service 100% definitely recommend the hotel to friends and family also I’ll definitely be back

Stayed overnight with my husband on our way to Scotland. This is the fourth time we have stayed the last being 5 years ago. It was good then but the new owners have done a wonderful job. The food was extremely good with very large helpings. The staff were great too.

Warm welcome on arrival. Clean, well appointed and spacious dog-friendly room, with a bag of doggie treats and some poop bags waiting for us, with a generous refreshment tray for the humans. Delighted to find Bath House toiletries in the bathroom. We were advised to book a table for dinner when we booked the stay, so glad we did as both the bar and restaurant were very busy. After seeing various meals appear and be devoured, I can see why. The food was delicious and the portions generous. We will certainly stay here again.

Our second stay here and we will be back. We cannot fault this hotel at all. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Rooms are exceptional clean and really well presented. Love the little seating nooks around the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful.
