From the gardener, reception staff, bar and waiting staff and without forgetting the housekeeping staff and the chefs, together, a truly amazing team, where nothing was too much trouble. Some of the most amazing food I've had in the Lakes. Recommend the fish. The breakfasts were also like a special occasion. The room had everything you could need and the estate itself is fabulous. I'd love to come again in the Winter, when there may be the chance of a roaring fire. My husband recommended the steak, but quite frankly we were spoiled for choice with the food. I would say to the Manager, you have a remarkable team, who look after their guests without being unduly sicophantic, which would come across as insincere. Truly Loved it. Only gripe (lol) no Black Pig beer in bottles to take home. That would be great to put in a hearty stew recipe.
